Knicks Lose Heartbreaker At Home, Sixers Force Game 6 | New York Knicks

The Knicks were looking to close out the Sixers in Game 5 to end the series but it was Tyrese Maxey who made an incredible 4 point play and then a long range 3 from the logo to bring the game to overtime tied at 97. The Sixers would then pull away to complete the upset 112-106 and the Knicks once again look to close out the series in Game 6 in Philadelphia on Thursday.

  1. Why does Thibbs always play a player less than the opponent? 7 players all night this loss is on Thibbs too predictable

  2. No precious no win !!! It’s that simple why wouldn’t you played precious up 6 with 25 sec left !!I or in overtime bad coaching and Brunson is doing too much one on one pass the freaking ball!!!!

  3. Exactly Wally we need to have Donte to score or deuce the last minutes! We got out coached at the end we also need to make our free throws 😮

  4. Knicks go back home to Phili..smh..I don't understand why when they were having trouble from the line you don't foul up 3.

  5. Mitch has a low basketball IQ he's a liability in every facet of basketball he has no offensive game and the only rebounds he gets are from his own missed layups

  6. Shameful…The Knicks blew a 6 point lead. Hart, Brunson….FREE THROWS>>>Robinson, >>>>You don't foul a three point shot! Shameful!

  7. The Maxey half court shot wasn’t luck Wally. Don’t downplay Tyrese like that. Dude has deep 3pt range!

  8. The lineup of OG with Precious worked…Embiid is playing as a perimeter shooter due to injury. Hartenstein is a liability on defense vs this team. Thibs should have adjusted, this loss is on him.

  9. Wally knicks need to live with Maxey's tieing three pointer.? Really? How bout Robinson should have been chedt to chest with maxey instead of dropping into paint. A two pointer did NOT MATTER WALLY

  10. I have been a Knick fan since the late 80s, I have experienced a plethora of heartbreaking defeats by this franchise; we all remember the infamous Reggie Miller play, and the infamous Pj Brown/Charlie Ward brawl that suspended a number of Knicks which blew their series lead. I've seen it all, and I can tell you this franchise has a stigma of awful moments that carries negative momentum for generations. Last night was another visit by this bad voodoo, and although I was not one of those fans doing jumping jacks with a 3-1 lead, because I knew we could easily be down 3-1, this was an absolute debacle. If the Knicks do not close it out in game 6, the series will be won by Philly.
And the typical Knick response will be to trade half their assets for a used up/older Lebron, or trade for KD.

  11. The Knicks were losing this game regardless of both teams play. The basketball Gods are saying that there is no way an upstart Knicks team wins in less than 7 games against an established team, and it makes sense…the Knicks could have been up 50 with 6 seconds on the clock and still lost…I had the Knicks in 5, but, now I got them in 7 winning in OT on their home floor…If it goes 7, this will be one of the greatest playoff series ever played…the only team since the Lakers and Celtics of the 80's to reach this type of intensity was Lebron beating Golden State….this playoff series is rivaling that type of intensity!

  12. Were you watching the game bro? When Maxi made that three from damn near half court his feet was definitely set! It was a jumpshot. It wasn’t no heave.
