Of course they need a point guard. I think people are confused on what a point guard is. A point guard is a player who gets the team organized on offense, gets the ball where it needs to go, controls pace, and isnt worried about getting their shots up. None of booker, kd, or beal are wired that way.
You are killing kd’s stamina by constantly having him breaking the defense with dribble from the mid court, many of the turnovers is him getting pick off while he tries to do cross over, have a points guard give them the ball at their spot saves them energy Jesus it’snot rocket science. The offense have the big 3 handle too many roles exhausting confusing them making the them hesitate. Simplify the offense, have define roles, have a designated point guard to have consistency with the offense
If they bring most of our players back we should part ways with Vogel. Vogel didn't develop a system for our current players to thrive. Based on this past season I'd say he's not capable of it. Even with the injuries we could've done so much better.
but we forget Book had chris paul running the offence and that made him to be the scorer that he is.i dnt know if delegating point guard duties to him will work

I can’t believe none of you mentioend how book and beal had doubled the touches and touvke time of possesion than kd, that’s the main issue, book thinks he’s better than him, Beal also think that, egos of book and Beal and the coach are making the suns worse. You have the best player standing in the corner for Beal and book who are just not good at running a high level offense, kds way better than both
Refreshing conversation! How much does not having a sizeable wing to defend and rebound impact the team? If I recall the Suns lost the possession "battle" pretty much every game throughout the season. A big guy getting rebounds and second chance shots can change the momentum in the game, like many teams had done to the Suns.
I’m fully aware of the flak I’ll most likely catch for this take but I gotta say it. Imagine if Eubanks was allowed/able to play similarly to Aaron Gordon. Take him out of the backup center role and develop him into the dunker spot and the 4man role.
