How do you judge this on a rookie though? Shouldnā€™t you be looking purely at the tools that guy possesses? These intangibles should be built by your culture which encourages everyone to give their best. Anyone at the NBA level canā€™t not have ā€œdrive and enthusiasmā€. Bullshit of heavily epic proportions.

    There are numerous examples of talented dudes being lazy and unmotivated in the NBA, itā€™s not an invalid thing to worry about

    They do realize the Wolves picked first right? Stories may be out there that they were unsure on him but itā€™s not like their FO actually missed on him since he wasnā€™t even available at #2.

    Iā€™d also take these types of reports with a huge grain of salt. Before the draft teams will leak information to try to manipulate the draft in their favor. Itā€™s entirely possible they wanted Edwards to fall to them and leaked negative comments about him in the hopes that we didnā€™t take him. Or I could be making that all up with hindsight, who knows.

    Oh I remember plenty here having issues with him before draft night as well, letā€™s keep ourselves honest now. Also, we had pick 1, so not sure how this was a ā€œfailā€ for GSW when they didnā€™t really have much say in the matter.
