Cavs Celtics head to head during the regular season this year. Boston was 2-1 but the losses at Boston were not blowouts. Cavs as a 11 point dog for the first game seems excessive imo.

  1. They are well rested, at home, we are not well rested, on the road. Line seems appropriate to me.

  2. I mean, they’ve had like a week off and we just played a grueling series to 7 games. I don’t expect to win game 1, hoping we just don’t get blown out honestly.

Rest is one of the biggest factors in setting lines and the Celtics have a big advantage there. Figure Boston is about 5 points better on a neutral floor, add 3 for home court and 3 for rest and you get -11.

Does anyone really think we’re not severe underdogs after that 1st round?

Any team can win games but it would be a huge upset for us to not get spanked with how they’ve been playing the last week or so

  5. Regular season results don’t mean all the much. The comeback D-Wade win was more of a fluke than anything since he never plays like that. The Celtics were basically playing with their food that game.

This series could definitely get ugly at times because the Celtics have way more weapons than the Magic. But I’m also optimistic that the Cavs might have an easier time scoring. So I could see them getting hot for a game or 2.

Any PMT listener better be ready to go in on hanks ass in the coming week or two.

The thing people need to understand about point spreads is that they’re set to encourage bettors to take both sides of the line close to equally to reduce risk to the sports books. They’re made to influence betting behavior more than anything else.

    No Wade, no Allen.

And I’m not sure how long Mitchell can keep this up on a bum knee.

Man, if we could get the old Garland back, we have a chance.

Vert is showing signs and has some big games in his career vs the Celts.

Mobley has to outplay Horford, he just has to. Like overwhelmingly.

I’m a big believer that “nobody believes in us” energy can be vital when heading into a contest like this. Sharpens focus. So I say make us 20-point underdogs and let’s go Cavs.
