I can’t speak to intent directly, but I can see that he didn’t push/kick/land with a leg forward on any of his other 3pt attempts last night and that he didn’t have any forward momentum when taking this particular shot.

Nah, I doubt it. Should have been an offensive foul though, and I’m sure Dort and the Thunder didn’t mind the outcome given that after this Luka basically became unplayable and the game was over, but I’ve seen Dort shoot and he sometimes just does that really reckless kick as part of his motion. He probably did moved the leg as part of his shot.
This is a routine movement that players have done for years to try to *draw* a foul. So yes, it was intentional, but he was likely doing it to draw a foul not harm Luka.
Plus Dort trips and kicks constantly, he’s great and very intentional with how he uses his feet and legs throughout the game.

It’s an offensive foul. He hops forward after the shot to create contact. Pretty blatant
Players like to do that now – kicking their leg out to get fouls called. Like what SGA did to DJJ. Not intentional to hurt, but to generate fouls. Should be offensive fouls. NBA needs to correct this. It’s detrimental to the flow of the game, plus it can hurt players like this example.

Listen. Some people jump forward on their shot. Timmy and Harden do it. Nobody fucking sticks only one foot forward on their shot while square to the hoop. That is a trip.

100% intentional to draw a foul. Dort’s feet are going straight down but as Luka goes by, the right foot kicks out.
I think it was an offensive foul but I don’t think it was intentional in the sense he was trying to harm Luka but more of it was intentional in him trying to draw a foul.

Yes, he did. Shooters don’t land like that. It would be one thing if he wasn’t able to come up through his shot, but that wasn’t the case.
