I think we've all broken down the positives of what a longer rebuild could do for Brooklyn but there are two potential key problems and the first one being Brooklyn technically doesn't have control of their own first round draft picks for 4 more years 😮….
A lot can happen in four years and if Brooklyn doesn't have a top lottery pick the point of doing a longer rebuild could put the team even more behind in their development if they can't bring in top prospects….
Second the West is very competitive from top to bottom with every team having all star talent while the East is very wide open right now. If the East becomes like the West during a longer rebuild for Brooklyn, the Nets could fall more behind and be at the bottom of the standings for multiple years….
Brooklyn has a lot of options to consider in 2025 especially when they will have the cap space…..
