Last night’s game was nuts in that regard. Crowd was going crazy for the first quarter. By the end of the half everybody is just asking each other “where’s Jalen?” You could feel the deflation as the deficit got larger. But once he started shooting around at halftime you could feel the energy coming back. By the middle of the third quarter the crowd was out of control, Indiana was visibly shaken and couldn’t even make a free throw. That place was rocking by the fourth quarter and it was all because Jalen was on the court doing his thing. “Next man up” only applies to 14 guys on the roster, without Jalen the floor is too low.
Can’t wait to see what this team can do with a full roster next year. If OG is down that’s 4 rotation players out of the lineup. Having Randle back will be a gamechanger.
