  1. Hopefully he does us a favor and goes back to school

  2. Aufrodisiac

The Lakers buy a second rounder almost every year. Iirc they were able to buy the 35th overall pick for like 2 mil. Hopefully that’s how they draft him.

  3. yeahhkevin

drafting bronny and hiring jj reddick is something a 15 year old would do on 2k

  4. Persianx6

Wasting a draft pick for this is gonna be so sus.

  5. Honestly I gotta imagine it would suck being on a team with your dad living in his shadow and all your teammates knowing that. I feel like Bronny should just go back to school lol.

  6. jasonluong

This draft class is so bad that drafting him in the 2nd round wouldn’t even matter. There’s not going to be a better steal available to might as well take him.

  7. It’s so disappointing seeing the greatest franchise ever waste draft picks on nepotism.

  8. Only if we hire JJ Redik and Rehire Phil Handy to develop him and fix his shot sure

  9. saraza1270

If they use their pick, they are dumb and incompetent franchise.

Lebron has a player option til 6/29, and the draft is few days before that, so it’s really up to Lebron to sign with the Lakers before 6/29 so that the Lakers could pick up Bronny as a undrafted free agent because he’s not worth a draft pick at this point. I hope Lebron doesn’t use his leverage to force the Lakers to burn their second round for his kid because that would be a shitty ass move.

  11. onlymostlydeadd

Why not. We already waste picks like jhs

  12. LudwigNasche

We have nothing to lose drafting him in the second round and while I wasn’t excited about giving LeBron a 3 years deal, if it is right that he wants to play only 2 more seasons it will be great, one season to win another title and a farewell tour for one of the greatest to play the game. If two seasons from now he is still willing to play we can negotiate a new deal compatible with his production. He was still a top player this playoffs and Davis killed it, as it is now they are still a great tandem to start next season, Pelinka just need to provide them the proper help.

Some of y’all are insufferable lol… Realistically what are we taking in the middle of the 2nd if we buy a pick, a lottery ticket in a WEAK draft? Everyone will turn that TV on and witness history and ultimately be glad it happened on our beloved Lakers.. They’ll make a movie and shows about this and that’ll be that. It’s quick how we forget that this team by all definitions take care of it’s stars. Kobe’s best friend is running the damn team lol?

Get a grip and stop sound like a bunch of children, regardless of how you feel about Lebron what’s about to happen is going to be amazing. The last time something like this happened was Ken Griffey, and everyone was all for it.

    for fuck sake.

  14. icencream27

Must rehire Handy if we’re drafting bronny

  15. maya_papaya8

That revenue will be through the damn roof. LA isn’t dumb. If they can’t get a ring, they can’t get the money and media attention. This will be a constant topic of discussion

  16. Tangentkoala

Lakers fans gonna have a heart attack when they hear.

“With the 17th pick in the draft…..

  17. Bro avg 4ppg, no way in fuck is he worth a draft pick. If his name was Lebron Jamison, he’d be in Australia playing.

  18. SlowCrates

People are crazy not to want Bronny on the team. He’s as NBA ready as they get. He was raised on the court by the highest basketball IQ player of our generation, if not all time. He’s just as athletic as his father, only with a smaller frame, so he has an entirely different skillset. He’s going to play guard, make tons of cuts, catch-and-shoot threes, things that weren’t his father’s forte. He’s got busy hands, he’s locked in, he’s coachable, he’s FAST — he’s EVERYTHING we needed D’Lo to be. And he’s already got chemistry with his old man. AND — He’s CHEAP. Dude won’t earn a large first contract, hell, he doesn’t need the money. He’ll be motivated to prove himself, to earn that second contract, to step out of his father’s shadow. You’ll get the most focused mother fucker on Earth.

  19. TallanoGoldDigger

This FO got a generational superstar and suddenly became spineless

  20. Pristine_Rate5696

Bruh if we draft Bronny ima lose it lol

  21. IsTheManRetired

They don’t even develop the draft picks already. Please stay in school

  22. Bipolar1324

Brah send him to the gleague and sign him from there why waste a pick

  23. noknownothing

Riiiiight!. Lebron has no input into whether the Lakers draft a player that no one sees as draft worthy.

  24. Ok_Body_2598

I hope LeBron tells him to go back to school…young black kids need folks to want to stay in school. 100 million and a High school diploma is less opportunities with all the means. Harder to go back.

Hayes, vando and Christie might be stronger more skilled players with a sharper, focused years in college

  25. I mean its an open secret that the Bucks keep Thanasis around to make Giannis happy. If that’s what it takes to keep your star player happy than so be it

  26. He’s getting picked at 55 if it’s by the Lakers. He and his agent will just let it be known he won’t sign with anyone if they pick him in the 2nd if he wants to play with his dad. If not, they’ll just let the process play out normally.

  27. ![gif](giphy|tZyxxR4lUIRnTgIzl9|downsized)

    The FO(h) staying on brand

  28. pineapplesurfwax

🤦‍♂️ we are the Dallas Cowboys of the NBA

  29. HarambeTheBear

That headline is such BS. This is LeBron positioning himself and playing the media, so he can say it wasn’t his decision to draft Bronny.

  30. Comfortable_Bath3609

Just don’t, you simply dont need to please a 40 yr old player with your assets… and Bronny is the one who will suffer the most. He is never going to be NBA level player and living under his father’s wing is making that even harder

  31. Winter-Gur-9762

At this point we’re just glazing him so he can stay in la
