I love Oklahomans but these okc fans are absolutely out of pocket rn. The amount of trash talk Iāve received is insane. Iāve been super civil about the series as well, before game 1 I talked with multiple people about how itās gonna help a fun series and Iāll got was that Dallas was gonna get swept and destroyed by shai. I get they had a great season and are a very promising young team but this is their first playoff run together. They will be a great team and will have a lot of success im sure but this is their first year really breaking out. Thunder fans are acting like they are the warriors coming off a 73-9 season. I also get all the hype around Shai but heās objectively not the same caliber as Luka or Kyrie yet regardless of what people say. Watching shai play he is a fantastic scorer but nothing else pops out to me that much. Heās a good passer, good defender, and fairly good overall. But I think his scoring greatly outweighs his other skills.

I wonder what would happen if called out a ref. Brothers sucks or Foster sucks. I doubt the league would tolerate it. What do u do about it? Home team makes announcement before game. If it happens 1 warning over PA. If it continues technical foul. The home team coach can stop it.

I honestly felt Dallas as one of the classiest and down to earth fan bases for all of dirks career. I speak as Los Angeles native so no Dallas homerism here.
The fan base reflected dirks humility and patience. We were winners and a perennial 50 win season team but we never came off cocky or unruly.
Im going to get downvoted but that all went to shit over the past few years after Lukas arrival. Our fanbase grew exponentially. We have gained a huge amount of younger supporters. Luka stans and such. Our fan base is as annoying and can be bitchy as any other. Phoenix and okc included. I would check out the clippers and okc sub from time to time to see their perspective and the level of toxicity from our fans who go there to shit talk is cringey af. Iām seriously embarrassed because of some of yall. Maybe Iām just getting older, but this is definitely not the Mavs fanbase I grew up with. But thatās ok. Times change. I just have to accept that this is what it is and enjoy the winning basketball and team weāve assembled.

They’re still getting acclimated to being paid millions of dollars to do something that they love. Wait until they’re a few years into their career. This person sounds like they haven’t been watching the NBA for a long enough time. Then again they only transitioned from the Supersonics to the Thunder under 20 years ago.
