I’m fine with the Celtics going 0-4 in game 2s if it insures going 16-0 in games 1,3,4, and 5.

  2. DiseaseRidden

Jayson “Big Deuce” Tatum with the big bounceback

  3. DaviQS007

Guys, I think the Celtics may have a chance to win this series now

  4. Everyone will talk about Tatum’s bounce back. Meanwhile Jrue had one of his best games as a Celtic tonight. He was everywhere

  5. so when is r/nba gonna learn to stop overreacting after teams lose

  6. SuperShank23

Donovan Mitchell is pretty good at basketball

  7. mastacheef87

Jaylen Brown has been absolutely fantastic this postseason and deserves more love for it

  8. dafire123

alright back to your holes, till our next loss at least

  9. HorsNoises

I can’t wait to hear the mental gymnastics people use to say this win was underwhelming THIS time.

  10. Neat-Current5008

This team closes this game out, last two years they may or may not. That’s the difference us Celtics fans have been saying

  11. Bballopinion

So in the last 24 hours, we went from NBA fans thinking we would get a Knicks-Wolves Finals back to Nuggets-Celtics. What a turnaround

  12. The Garland regression study is going to be the most interesting thing ever. Dude cannot or will not play good basketball anymore.

  13. Boston_Champions

That’s why you trade for Jrue Holiday

  14. FartrelCluggins

    r/NBA

    Celtics win: I sleep

Celtics Lose: Jayson Tatum is the worst all star of all time????

  15. epicnerd427

Cavs gotta find offense not named Donovan Mitchell but they also really need to work on the boards. Celtics were in control of the glass in that 2nd half.

  16. AliveGloryLove

Tatum was crazy tonight. Especially defensively and on the boards.

Needed him to take over and he did.

  17. pokexchespin

jayson tatum now has more games this playoffs of 25+ points than pj washington

  18. CherryNim

Garland has GOT to step up or we’re fucking done dude. This is getting sad

  19. Sadvillainy-_-

Free Mitchell from this bullshit roster lol

  20. prideofisreal

I’m used to Tatum having a “quiet” 30 but Jaylen putting up 28 wicked quietly is a very welcome surprise, thar is a huge improvement for him. Love to see it

  21. thestopsign

One of the best playoff games Jaylen has ever had.

He actually stopped a back door cut and got a steal off it.

  22. JonnyTsnownami

r/nba will now pretend this series doesn’t exist unless the Celtics lose another game

  23. Noriskhook3

I loved how people talked shit on Jokic, Luka, and Tatum, then they showed out when needed.

  24. Robotemist

Has Strus had a useful game yet this entire postseason?

  25. Drummallumin

Tatum really had 33/13/6, took over the game at points, and consistently played good defense on the perimeter and as a weakside rim protector. Somehow people will turn this into a negative tho.

  26. rsoxguy12

When Brown and Tatum combine for over 60, it’s really tough to stop their offense.

All the Celtics need in that scenario is one other role player to hit shots (Holiday tonight) and you end up with a performance like this one

  27. the thing about these early-round series is there’s no way to win the narrative. win by double digits? yeah, you just did what you were supposed to. lose a game? the sky is falling. we haven’t really even played a single close game yet

the Cavs are not a top-tier contender, but they’re not a pushover either. i’d love to sweep through the East as much as any other Celtics fan but that really shouldn’t be the expectation

  28. Is Tatum still a fringe All-NBA, vastly overrated player now or are we going to swing the complete opposite way like r/nba is prone to do?

Great response by the team overall, and despite Mitchell looking like the best player on the court in the first half, props to Tatum for having his first takeover half of these playoffs.

  29. Drummallumin

Nothing would have me fuming more than a Payton Pritchard logo 3 in the playoffs. 2020s Patty Mills

  30. RacingRaindrops

Fuck if a Zach Zarba game isn’t 10x more enjoyable than that garbage Tony Brothers churns out.

  31. K9Marz919

Jrue Holiday is my everything tonight. The man was possessed, flying all over the court. Big rebound. Posting up Mobley, timely threes. Everyone will talk about the Js, but Jrue was a big difference maker tonight.

  32. UzumakiNaruhodo

If Cs goes to ECF, they should sit out the starters every game 2 and close TD Garden to the public

  33. CO2guy617

Celtics played ok and still won by 13. Horford was noticeably bad defensively for the most part tonight. Celtics need Zingis back to have a shot at the title.

  34. FluidConversation721

You really only hear about the Celtics when they lose

  35. CarBallAlex

Celtics the last 3 years of playoffs

    14-14 at home

    17-7 on the road

    Make it make sense
