Tatum really had 33/13/6, took over the game at points, and consistently played good defense on the perimeter and as a weakside rim protector. Somehow people will turn this into a negative tho.
When Brown and Tatum combine for over 60, it’s really tough to stop their offense.
All the Celtics need in that scenario is one other role player to hit shots (Holiday tonight) and you end up with a performance like this one
the thing about these early-round series is there’s no way to win the narrative. win by double digits? yeah, you just did what you were supposed to. lose a game? the sky is falling. we haven’t really even played a single close game yet
the Cavs are not a top-tier contender, but they’re not a pushover either. i’d love to sweep through the East as much as any other Celtics fan but that really shouldn’t be the expectation
