This isn't ever a rumor coming from the heat. These are rumors started by heat media every off-season.
Then, if Riley does decide to go after a " star" and fail the heat media harps about that all year.
If you look at how the heats roster is constructed now they really don't need a " star" to help them get over the hump.
They need a young athletic big and my choice would be tyler Smith in the draft if he's still on the board. Then we need bench of nba players not " G-league gems " to back up and take the pressure off the starters.
They need to decide to play Thomas Bryant behind bamm or trade him for another backup center. Keep Kevin love fresh throughout the season and ramp him come playoff time.
Keep Terry mills also as insurance in case scary terry and Josh need to miss time.
43rd pick use the legendary heat culture to find another young big capable of making the roster and providing playing time.
The heat don't need a overall they need to add valuable NBA pieces, not G-league pieces

Mann…. As a Heat fan we hear this every year and it’s the same shight! Heat will go get someone who is out dated or hasn’t been good since they came into the league like Carmelo or someone of that nature who stay hurt all the time. Riley is a business man he’s not willing to give up all the roster for a star that will help use in the regular & playoffs and get a physical big man because when we do get to the finals and play a team outta the west they kill us in the paint,bam ain’t it!!!
