If you look at the last 20 years of the draft, the 8th overall pick has been pretty hit and miss, and the misses were glaring.

To be honest, its a weak draft. Its tough but the raptors have to tank again next year. Hope the draft is better. Wish I could see the championship live one more time. Side nota NBA should show the ping pong balls. SHOW US THE BALLS NBA I WANT TO SEE FOR MY SELF.
The way I see it. Whatever man. You saw what happened. The hawks had a 3% chance to get the first pick and did. So whatever. Whatever happens happens. Now we gotta trade bruce brown and Gary. Maybe teams will be willing to move mid first round picks for more established players. Bruce brown has value when in the right situation. Let’s see what happens. I bet we still do ok with the picks we have. It is what it is. At 19 we will get a solid rotational player. At 31 I bet we go for super high upside. Ulrich chomche is screaming my name now.

People need to relax a bit. I don't think the Raptors are unhappy about "losing" the 6th pick this year. if anything, it's a "win" as next year they get to keep their pick in what is projected to be a much superior draft. We'll probably have a top 15 pick in next year's draft. A top 15 pick in next years draft would be the equivalent to a top 5 pick in this year's draft. We'll also have a much better team next year. Masai did the honourable thing regarding Siakam, he could have got a much better deal from the Hawks but he knew Siakam didn't want to go there. Masai recouped his cachet with the players around the league after the DeRozan mishandling fiasco. He did the honourable thing by Siakam and players remember that. Let's not forget that and lets park the general hysteria.
If it was me… I would tank one more year. Go hard for a top 3 pick next year. Then the worst we could drop is number 5. Whatever happens happens. But now I’m worried. We can’t afford Scottie saying screw this, I’m outta here. So it’s a fine line to walk. We gotta be careful. Good news is our young core is super young. Scottie / RJ / IQ / gradey / Ochai
What a bummer with koloko man. We needed a young centre …. I think ulrich chomche is a great prospect to build up. Send him to school darko. Maybe we take ka Lel ware or Messi at 19? There will be good options. I’m not to worried. We will be ok. Let’s revisit this after the draft and see what’s up

I don’t feel confident we’ll be able to compete with a lot of teams over the next 1-2 seasons. We simply don’t have enough talent. Happy we have a young core but unlikely we’ll be able to get some complimentary pieces around these guys. Tough spot to be in currently and deflating to not have a high pick after an awful season. Not sure what to expect but still love this team and our raptors community

It’s all good! It’s a weak draft! I’d rather have our first round pick next year when the draft class will be much stronger, then give it to San Antonio. I’m glad the Poertl trade is done, and we have our first round pick next year!

You cannot always rely on the "tank" and expect to land a high draft pick. Odds are the odds at the end of the day. Team has developed so many losing habits over the last few years. Its got take a toll on our younger guys. Lets see where next season goes, key is to stay healthy 🙏
M U more like one hit wonder. 2020 on every move outside lottery picks have sucked. The chain of KLow to Dragic to Thad to Jak to not deciding on PS until too late was disgraceful miss management.

Hope all the 2023-24 pro tank crowd militia is happy. Spurs received a Top 10 Lottery pick for a role player and upcoming UFA in Poeltl. Raps, so far, received 2 magic bean non-lottery draft picks and bench fodder (Olynyk, Ogbaji, Brown, Nwora) for an all-star/all-NBA player an upcoming UFA in Siakam. Pascal has the Pacers in the 2nd round of the NBA playoffs tied 2-2 with the Knicks. And with their young roster they will only be getting better. Plus, they are missing Benedict Mathurin who is out injured. Brown, Boucher, Filler for Andrew Wiggins, Filler is the only way out of this mess. Poeltl, Barnes, Wiggins, RJ, IQ. GTJ is most likely going to a team like Orlando to be their starting SG. Looks more and more like Edey at #19 now, if he's available.

Teams owned by corporations are doomed. There is no emotion by the owners. Only the bottom line. If the seats are filled then the companies won’t spend.
