I wouldnt trade jak. Yes were going young but not everyone has to be 22. Jak is a stabilizing presence and teams never go straight from missing playoffs to champs. You gotta get your foot in the door first with a 6-8 seed and jak will help us do that
I trust Masai to find a hidden diamond with our later picks he nearly always strikes gold. We would have done much better this season if we hadn't had that cheating bastard on the payroll playing against us for the sake of gambling. He should have been criminally charged rather than being allowed to slither out of town a free man. That being said tanking from the get go is not our culture, it's not the city's culture, it's not our national culture. Let's go out to win every game and let the buckets fall where they may.
We NEED to tank. This core isn't good enough and we'll end up in the exact same position 5-7 years from now if we don't try to get another star through the draft to pair with Scottie.
Who would want a team that continues to tank??? What kind of management is that? We did this this year fans can't take it two years in a row. Got nothing out of it. Time to get playing and be serious.
Why are you so hung up on this draft pick. The top 4 picks in this year draft would have been outside the top 10 in next year draft. Also it’s better to have the potential of trading picks than picking a player in a weak draft lottery year
They have to consider that Barnes, IQ, RJ are gonna be a year older and it will likely take 2-3 years to bring a rookie on board and the team is running out of time to really incorporate these new pieces. Better to use what we have and trade for good assets. We were very dominant when our key players were all healthy. We just need to keep Poetl, make some good trades and keep our core and move forerward NOW not later. Otherwise team becomes a joke, beomes a place players do not want to sign with or STAY WITH.

Teams are going bigger. Small ball is dying. 7 footers are going to be very valuable. Our record is much better with Jak… why trade now? Also rockets and Memphis are shopping their picks, just to show how underwhelming this years draft is.

Now that the pick has conveyed, it now gives the office more flexibility for trades as they have control over next years pick.
This is ridiculous. Raps are not trading Yak after just losing the pick for him. My guess is still trying to move Brown's TO for piscks or maybe moving Chis/Jalen for cap space.

The Raps aren’t tanking….they have a good looking starting line up. It’s disrespectful to all the players on your roster….i can’t understand this tank BS unless the record is within a game or two.
Poeltl will not be traded this summer. His presence will help IQ and Scottie further develop. BUT I agree, next year at the deadline, Masai may very well yank the plug and trade Poeltl. And I guarantee that the return will be more than Castle or Knecht – i.e. guys we could have drafted if we didn't trade for Poeltl.
Start the season as well as we can, just to make it harder on ourselves to tank after the deadline, and possibly end up with a pick around 10-15, instead of just tanking to ensure we get top 3. Great logic 😂 just make things hard on yourself for no reason. Same thing we've done the last 2 seasons. Didn't work out, but y'all wanna do it again. Smh
Just finished watching this morning 'The Hoop Collective' from ESPN and they explained it best re the Raptors losing out on this years high draft pick.
It now carries over to next years draft which many have said that it will be a much stronger draft year, so maybe the lost of the draft pick is a bad news good. news story.
It was inevitable that some team would jump into the top four so no way was Toronto keeping #6 pick. Now Toronto had a 50/50 chance of themselves being a team that jumped into the top 4 and that was their flip of the coin which they didn't get.
