Shower thoughts, when Jokic said he wants to have a clone of himself in the G1 interview he wasn’t kidding. He was actually talking about Aaron Gordon.
They do have pretty similar personalities. Soft spoken and humble til it’s time to compete or turn up.

Somebody shrank jokic

Gordon in Orlando was being asked to be Jokic, and it was too much for him. But having that experience, being Mini-Me is something he can do — and he gets to do it against a defense that’s still tilted toward Jokic, so there’s room to attack.

… If Gordon plays like Jokic + his jumps, the league is in trouble.

My shower thoughts about AG are generally very different than yours…

Aaron brings a lot of energy on the floor Jokic doesn’t. He’s more of a “dynamic” player and Jokic creates opportunities for him. Now when Jokic is off the floor, honing his skills as a facilitator would be brilliant.
When Aaron plays like he did in game 4 this team is unstoppable. So long as guards hit their shots.

I don’t think Jok is the kind of guy that speaks in metaphors and riddles

The way AG talks about Jok, you can tell how much he loves the guy. Such a cool relationship, AG admires him like a big brother

AG gets massively misrepresented. Think back to his days in Orlando. Dude was in a toxic, traumatic relationship with little to no communication on how to unfuck it. Look at him, ya gotta imagine he knew something wasn’t adding up even back then but no resources to actually overcome any of it. Dude should have been a perennial allstar with championship aspirations, instead he got stuck with the magic.
Then getting acquired by the nuggets org? Shit must have been night and day. From watching the best years of your life wasted in a dead end to being one of the five starters on what everyone collectively, albeit grudgingly at times, has deemed *the* team to beat. I always see so much more gratitude from AG than anything else… he really deserves the Mr. Nugget title.
