Paul and Lebron can’t be here to just fuck with everyone right?

Are they trying to lobby us to draft Bronny??

Thing is, Lakers don’t pick until the second round, and nobody wants Bronny if he doesn’t come with LeBron. If LeBron makes it clear he only wants to sign with Cleveland then there’s no reason to believe someone swoops in for Bronny. He’s just not very good.

I really hope we don’t waste the 20th pick on Bronny. I would be fine taking him in the second, he isn’t worth a first.

It’s a leverage play just like the Cleveland All-Star weekend stuff.
Let’s say there’s a 10% chance he comes back… this type of appearance/flirting is being done to generate leverage in his upcoming free agency. Is that leverage to get Bonny drafted higher, is it LeBron being paid a max, is it having roster/coach control, is it all of the above?
No matter what Rich & LeBron are masters of this game and it’s clear Cleveland and the threat of coming back to the Cavs is always a carrot they will dangle for added leverage.

Look I’ll take LeBron back and draft his should still be in college son to do it. I just don’t think LeBron would look at this roster and think it’s a good fit with his style of play.

This year’s draft is basically a wash anyways. The #1 pick is like the equivalent of 5-6 in a normal year, so #20 probably going to be living in the G League.

So Cavs do have their 1st rounder this year ?

I love what LeBron did for the Cavs organization and Cleveland as a whole. He brought the franchise up from the depths of the league. He became the villain, then had his redemption arc and brought a championship home. But I really don’t want to pay an aging LeBron a bunch of money for him to come in and gut the roster. I get that he’s still defying the odds and playing at an allstar level, but how long can he realistically keep it up? Father Time is undefeated, and he’ll be visiting LeBron soon. He takes great care of himself, but he’s going to be 40 next season. The guy has more miles on his body than almost anyone in the history of the league. If he’s willing to take a team friendly deal, then come on home. Downvote all you want, but it’s the truth.
