Only realistic possibility is for him to ask to come to LA directly. And we would need to give up Austin, Rui, possibly JHS, and Cam plus the 3 firsts. And even then it probably wouldn’t be more than another team would be willing to pay.
Can we please get some bigs? We stopped Jokic in 2020 by having 2 centers wear him down in the first 35 or so minutes and then putting AD on him.

Offer should be Rui, Reaves, JHS, 3 FRPs and 2 swaps.

Worth noting: I don’t think teams like OKC and Pels will get him cos they’ll know he won’t resign there
I only think Donovan would resign with Miami, New York, maybe Brooklyn, maaaaybe Houston or San Antonio?, LA teams, Warriors

Cleveland will not send him to the Lakers. There is zero chance of this happening.

Lebron for Mitchell and Allen…it’s AD’s time now! Let Bron retire with his son where it all began.

Yeah I support. I think Spida can stop Jokic, Gordon and the Minnesota bigs. Then let’s get T. J. McConnell. I want a 5 guard line up next season. LFG.

I like this.

Please no. Having Mitchell means we won’t have any depth, and you cannot rely on 40 LeBron all season. This is just stupid.
Keep the core, get a competent coach, get a good center and run it back and see if there way any trades during the season.

Our only real chance is that he wants to be in a big market or at an immediate guaranteed contender which takes out the small market and fringe contender clubs because they know he’ll leave in a year.
So who does that realistically leave who have the assets or want to trade for him?
New York Knicks and Miami Heat in the East. Potentially the Brooklyn Nets too. And in the West there is perhaps the Spurs and the Thunder.
There really isn’t all that much competition is there? If the Knicks genuinely want him, then we might have an issue because they could offer Randle and 4 first rounders and we’re fucked. But I think we’d have just as much to offer as Miami does. OKC… maybe with all their assets could put something very attractive together?
Our offer would be Reaves, Rui and our 3 first rounders. If we got Mitchell, we immediately become the 2nd favourites in the West after Denver.
LeBron, AD and Spida? Fucking hell. Kyrie was the PERFECT for for Bron and AD but Mitchell wouldn’t be too far behind. Having a guard who can create his own shot and drive to basket would be huge.
We also wouldn’t need to rely on a 40 year old LeBron or AD to score constantly. We’d have another player we know can give us 30 a night almost every night. LeBron getting to drop back to focus on facilitating and AD getting to drop back to focus on defence could be absolutely huge.
75 a night from those 3. Stick Vando and Gabe in there for extra defence and an extra 15 points a night between them and you suddenly have a starting 5 that gives you defence, one of your guards who’s an elite POA defender, one of your forwards who’s an elite POA defender, and your center who’s an elite defender.
I mean… a 90 point defensively strong starting 5 sounds god damn good to me.

Love Mitchell but adding him doesn’t make this team a contender. Especially if we give up Reaves, Rui, and Vando. Or some combo of those guys. It’s gotta be Christie + JHS + 1st, and that’s a weak offer.

He’s easily my #1 target if he’s realistic. I didn’t realize that he was an option. I definitely prefer him over someone like Trae Young.
What move would create the biggest skyrocketing of championship odds for the Lakers next year? Probably this one.

I hope Bron talked to him when he was in Cleveland.

Then the Lakers can be just like the Suns.

Man I miss Jerry West. He knew how to get things done regardless of the circumstances and challenges

Lakers would be better off trying to trade for Allen and not Mitchell

Lakers could theoretically offer:
• 24 1st
• 29 1st
• 31 1st
• 4-5 first round swaps
• Reaves
• Rui
• JHS
