> San Antonio personnel would be committing front-office malpractice by not contemplating the opportunity to pair a league assist leader and high-screen maestro like Young to pair with Wembanyama. The Spurs have so far approached building around Wembanyama as an intriguing experiment, where they will weigh all different kinds of variables around their Rookie of the Year. However, according to multiple league figures with knowledge of the situation, any Spurs plans of maneuvering to bring Young to San Antonio have been vastly overstated. The Spurs, sources said, have expressed little interest in obtaining Young to date.

Here comes all the Spurs fan cope about how they never wanted him anyway
Wasn’t there an article like this from a couple of months ago that said this?
Spurs are smart to avoid that move.
Wake me up on draft night pls
Also the Hawks plans on moving Trae are vastly overstated.
This article will now result in Trae being rumored to be going to every other team: lakers, pelicans, Miami, etc. media just HATES the hawks
Manufactured by Trae hater KOC
If every team thinks Trae is a two pack of ass better for me I want him to stay a hawk

Call it cope by a Spurs fan or whatever, but if you look at the last couple of champions, their best players have all spent their entire career on the same team together: Jokic Murray MPJ, Steph Klay Draymond, Giannis and Middleton (only exception, but he just spent 1 year on the Pistons before joining the Bucks at the same time as Giannis)
Getting Sarr is absolutely huge for you guys. I genuinely think you guys can build a championship caliber team around Trae, JJ and Sarr, not to mention you guys already have quality role players and young guys like Bogi, Hunter, Capela, OO, AJ, Bufkin etc. You will need some time for the young guys and the chemistry to develop
I’ve not watched enough Hawks games to judge whether Trae and Dejounte can make it work together. I personally wouldn’t mind having him back on the Spurs, but I’m not the front office haha. If that is to happen, i guess you can use the picks to trade for Mikal or something?
This is pretty obvious. I was just telling my friends yesterday how Trae is the exact opposite type of player Pop would want, and if I’m not mistaken he didn’t even want him on team USA.
@ every other fanbase: 🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕
Pop ain’t never gunna want Trae and that’s fine.
I know Kirschner reported on this but when Lloyd pillow-talked about Trae to any and everybody in the league, it fucked up his rep. Evan Turner alluded to this on his pod. Iguodala basicially said he had a negative perception about Trae and had never met him lol. Turner had to explain to him the shit being spread about him wasn’t valid.

There’s no logical basketball reason to not attempt a full-court press for Trae Young if I’m San Antonio involving giving back most of Atlanta’s picks back.
I’m a Hawks fan and even I would not get mad if Trae tried to force his way to Wemby lol. That would be a generational pairing.
But appreciate it dumbass NBA people. Let us get Sarr. Don’t try and trade for Trae. Watch what happens lol.
Duh shit, click bait is a pretty bad thing in modern society
The media coverage of Young has been so weird since he came out. A lot of gleeful coverage of a rough summer league, lot of “can’t win with him!” stuff when he was a sophomore, and then basically since 22 there has been a “welp, that proves it, they need to trade him.”
