A text from a buddy today regarding Trae Young:
“It’s like being single. Like you’ll meet nice women you’re compatible with and you may be attracted to some in certain ways. That’s not the hard part. But is this who you want to spend the rest of your life with? The spurs would be settling for Trae, someone who checks a few boxes but is extremely flawed in several boxes and very expensive. You have to leave space for the right person to come along and that means accepting the current position you’re in while working on yourself to improve in as many areas as you can until the right one comes along.”
Wow, thats deep.
Or, he just sucks on defense and dribbles too much.
lol once again forgot this man randomly has me blocked
If we’re gonna do the relationship analogy; waiting your whole life for a perfect thing that may never come is a good way to ensure that you stay single forever. Relationships are about compromise, give and take, and working through each other’s imperfections to build something better than the sum of the parts.
By all means, wait for Rihanna your whole life, but don’t be shocked when you’re alone forever
This post got me wondering: let’s say the Spurs do trade for Trae. Many say that one of his biggest flaws is that he’s detrimental to the locker room environment and tends to put the blame on coaching when things start to go wrong. Do you think that Wemby carries enough locker room weight and star power to put him in his place? Would Trae Young be that difficult to incorporate to the team culture?
