Trae Young And The San Antonio Spurs Just Got Very Interesting

The Trae Young and San Antonio Spurs situation has been one to follow throughout the course of the season, and it almost seems inevitable that Trae makes his way to SA to form a dynamic duo with Victor Wembanyama.

After the Hawks were able to win the lottery and the rights to the first pick in the upcoming draft, it may have been what sends Atlanta into rebuild mode.

In this video I cover all the ins and outs of the situation and how the Spurs could land the 25-year-old point guard, and why he fits on this roster.

  1. Let him come in free agency if he really wants to come here don’t offer Atlanta shit those picks are way more valuable

  2. Also u didn’t mention the biggest fault with Trae his ego while pop is here I think he could keep him in line but pop ain’t gonna be there forever as much as I want him to be he’ll bulldoze any coach they bring in

  3. There's no reason for Trae to join an organization & fanbase that tolerates & protects sexual predators who continually assault female staff members.

  4. I am 50 / 50 with that rumors as a Spurs fan I know the team have to do a lot of things to make the team better but I have a feeling the will make a slow process developing the young core with the draft capital they have

  5. As a Spurs fan, we do not want to make Wemby's job even harder on defense. Trae has been bad for locker rooms and bad for coaches. How do you think he's going to react when Popovich starts chewing him out for missing defensive assignments. There is no world where Trae being the Spurs second-best player puts them in contention with OKC, MIN, DEN, DAL. The West is stacked, brutal, and rising. Memphis will be back, and Houston is on the rise. Even the old teams, like the Lakers, Clippers, and Warriors are still playoff caliber teams looking to compete. This is no time to go in on a 40+ million dollar defensive liability, who is years older than Victor, and does not show up in the playoffs. They need to take a page out of OKC's book and take their time. Tank for Cooper Flagg or some other high-end lottery talent in 2025. Then you will have the foundation that you can start building a great team off.

  6. Young is not a generational talent, IMO. We need to keep all of our picks and build this dynasty slowly through the draft. Plenty of "Robin's" coming to the league in the next few years

  7. Trae is not Spurs material. He doesn't play defense and isn't coachable. Plus we would have to give up too much for Trae. If we are looking at any hawks player it should be Dejounte

  8. Spurs are in a very enviable position with Wemby and incredible draft assets to work with in building a young core around him. I think what many people are missing is that Wemby needs space to grow himself for at least one more year before trying to add marquee pieces from other teams. Sure, you could trade for a point guard like Trae but that will stunt Wemby`s development as he has to share it with an established guy like Trae. A great SG and shooting wings with a solid enough handle to share the ball through wemby (much like Joker at the Nuggets) seem like better options for the Spurs right now. Maybe the worst thing that the Spurs can do right now is to try and rush the development of this team instead of building for a couple of seasons into a young core that has one obvious hole to fill and a player that is the perfect fit for it really excited to jump in.

  9. Spurs need a 3 and D forward first then a power forward a .muscular one not like collins or sochan
A play maker is easy to find

  10. And you need at least 3 role players on the bench ……good ones not so so…. have you watch during this play off the role of the bench and you think that trae jones is enough you must be kidding or have stock options on hawks team

  11. Yes it could be awesome, but Young has to stop turning the ball over. I’ve watched him since high school. It was fun watching logo shots in high school. He turned the ball over then, he turns the ball over now(4.4 a game) Added to that he plays no defense. Maybe Pop changes him, but probably not

  12. Dilly will be able to do what Trae Young can do in short order and don’t have to trade away all the draft capital. Need the outside shooter like Reed or kneckt with the 8th. Trae Jones will suffice in the meantime

  13. Finally a Spurs fan that gets it. You earned my sub and I look forward to watching in the future 😎

  14. Trae young will cost wemby some years in his career because he would have to sacrifice his body on defense covering for trae’s lack on that side
