Garland & Allen Trade

After reading that article from the Athletic and seeing various Xweets and reports about Allen being discontent about the whole rib injury fiasco (for those who don't know, he refused injections that could have numbed his rib pain & and helped him get on the floor, and that irked some of his teammates & organization members), and Garland's camp (Klutch Sports) saying they would want to facilitate a trade out of Cleveland if Mitchell resigns, I started looking at potential trade targets for them, and I came across a few that I think are feasible & check out via Fanspo NBA Trade Machine & Cap Manager (as long as the Cavs sign & trade Okoro & make this trade on or after the 2024 draft).

Note: This is just a rough draft, not sure if it would be enough for either the Pels or Blazers, but I'd love for the Cavs to pull some sort of trade like this (other targets in mind, Mikal Bridges, Miles Bridges, DeMar DeRozan, Kyle Kuzma, Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga, just to name a few).

Starting lineup:
PG: Donovan Mitchell
SG: Caris LeVert or Max Strus (I think Caris is better)
SF: Brandon Ingram
PF: Jerami Grant
C: Evan Mobley

Note: Ingram and Grant could be interchangeable at SF & PF

  1. Seems a little light on the Cavs return. 2 all stars and a lock down wing? I think those picks go to CLE not NO.

The expiring contract of Ingram and a 30 year old Grant (31 by next playoffs). And we’re losing 2 draft picks here?

Trailblazers don’t need Garland at all. It’s the only position where they have any depth

Yikes not a chance. Grant’s contract is terrible and Ingram is on the last year of his deal and injury prone.

If the Cavs do in fact trade Garland and Allen it will be in separate deals anyway.

I have never heard anyone prefer LeVert over Strus either. That’s wild.

  5. Blazers dont need guards and the Cavs are not trading Jarrett Allen and Garland for scraps.

  6. Picks should be going the other way and then still no

Why do people always feel like they Need to pull stupid thinks like these out of their asses? Most of these trades don‘t even make sense ffs

If we trade Garland, Allen, Okoro and a first-round pick, we’d better get way more than Ingram and Grant. I hope the front office would rather just keep everyone together than to accept that kind of trade.

Hell nah , I have yet to see a realistic trade proposal that benefits the Cavs in all of these fantasy land ideas that have popped up this week

Cavs give away: Garland, JA, Okoro, 1 first round pick, 1 second round pick

    Cavs receive: Ingram and Grant

There is no way in hell you could ever convince me this would be good for the Cavs.

Cavs trade: 3 starters (2 all-stars) and multiple picks for 1 year of Brandon Ingram and one of the worst contracts in the league.

    Who says no???

  12. The fact that the Cavs are giving up the extra assets is pretty laughable. It’s like the only thing you consider in this trade is point per game in the latest season ahah

Might just be the worst one I’ve seen lol, well done

If we get anyone from Portland it better be Brogdon

  15. Hot_Equipment_678

This has got to be one of the worst trades I’ve seen. This even tops delusional Laker fans.

Y’all do not know anything about basketball.

  17. fredsavagegarden69

Bro who is making all these trash trades where we are losing two of the top three players in the trade and getting no picks back. Trash

  18. thewabberjocky

Hint, if we’re losing wins according to Hollinger, don’t share the trade

  19. blitzball91

I wouldn’t include the picks or maybe even okoro but this deal would help the team. The Cavs need to be able to size up, ball handle, and shoot from 4 positions around Mobley
