Mavericks close out Thunder with dramatic ending to Game 6 👀 Richard Jefferson reacts | SportsCenter

Big Time spotting you know who’s in the house with the M’s biggest game of the season the guy that led them to their lone Championship the one and only Dirk davitz there with our Richard Jefferson who called the game shave we’ll talk to him in just a second that’s your MVP runner up just chilling and one he needs some help homr has been quiet in the series but in a game the Thunder half to have it’s back and forth they’re up one SGA had 21 and four dimes in the first half they’ve got a nine-point lead headed to the locker room gilgas Alexander to Isaiah Joe not a ton off the Thunder bench but they end the half on a 246 run they’ve got a comfortable 16-point lead in the break at a win or go home game for them in the third Luca donic working on his third straight triple double of the series cuts the deficit in half from 16 to8 Kyrie who’s at a very quiet series averaging under 15 a game Mavs cut it down to five Eric Jones Jr and now they’re within striking range 16 at the half down to seven we go to quarter number four Irving Lively looking spry and Lively over hren and now it’s a two-point game PJ Washington has averaged nearly 20 points what a pickup this guy was at the deadline Corner three we’re tied at 105 next time Luca really struggled in game one and game four from the field but like I said third third straight triple double playing well he finished third in the MVP behind joic and SGA back come the Thunder they won’t go away Jaylen Williams is absolutely terrific Irving shot clock running down Quiet Series he woke up in a big way gets the shooters bounc two minutes to go tied at 11 10 Washington again so clutch in this series they go up three and then Irving blocked Derek Jones Jr wild shot with the shot clock running down and the Mavs go of five Jason kid fired up back the other way SGA won’t give up for three it’s a two-point game 27 seconds to go Thunder inbounding Washington call for the loose ball foul foul occurred shade before the ball got inbounded so the Thunder get a free throw most importantly maintained possession SGA to holdren and the Thunder or back up under 10 seconds to go donic to Washington Washington is fouled by SGA that’s a tough angle there Shay to see but take a look here no doubt right all over the left arm right no doubt about it so he’ll go to line 4 three he’s three for seven at the line in the series got 116 a piece now you can breathe they’ve got the the lead now you got to going to miss this one cuz you need the Ricochet here for the Thunder decent opportunity Williams the heave to extend their season Off the Mark a last second free throw barrage extends the series and wins it for Dallas here’s Luca with Cassidy hover how about PJ Washington pretty much quiet throughout the game and then coming a clutch down the stretch how do you describe what he was able to do for you guys in order to get win you can describe man him and D Jones those are our dogs and they they’re amazing every game never complain once never nothing just play hard hook and have fun man those those the kind of people you need on your team and sure this series was about two MVP contenders in you and Shay but what about the rookie centers in the matchup that Derek Lively had and what he did today on the boards for you guys yeah we don’t win this series Without Delight uh he been playing amazing uh for rookie not being scared uh it’s insane how he play uh the way he impacts the game uh so just just amazing man and Luka going back to the Conference finals for the second time in three years you’ve talked about how this team is fun for you guys and it’s only been a couple months why is this Conference Finals going to be different for you yeah I mean obviously we’re going to go against a really hard team it’s either Denver or Minnesota uh but today I think today we should enjoyed this win uh big respect to OKC they have an amazing team they’re very young but it don’t seem they seem very experienced uh obviously Shai it’s amazing the way he plays uh so big respect to them uh so today we’re going to celebrate this and then tomorrow well tomorrow I’m we’re going to rest uh but then we got to watch the game seven of that and just be ready for next game I shouldn’t have found him uh we talk about it all year the little things that go into winning games um and being disciplined and it sucks um obviously if I had the moment back I wouldn’t have fouled him um and just let him make or miss the shot uh but yeah basketball you win some you lose some you make mistakes have you seen the replay I can’t look at it but I they looked at it and I assume I fou him they let it and still didn’t overturn it Richard Jefferson straight from calling game six in Dallas my goodness what a game it was joins us now here on Sports Center look the Thunder were up 17 points at one point in this game how the heck did Dallas fight back at knock out the one seed well they just battled and look there was a lot of emotion we saw Luca and the energy towards the officials early on but once that settled down once he got his composure Kyrie Irving started getting going in that second half it was special both of them scoring 10 points in that third 10 uh 20 of their 35 were scored by the two of them but I would say the thing that got them back into the game where the rebounding it was 31 rebounds to 47 in favor of the Dallas Mavericks they were able to get extra opportunities I mentioned it on our ABC show that that was a missed opportunity I really thought OKC with all of that assets and a team that was a number one seed there was a deficiency in their roster that everyone talked about during the trade deadline that they needed a big especially with Dallas making a run to get bigs with o uh with Denver on that other side with joic and Aaron Gordon and then obviously Minnesota with that tremendous amount of size that was the one thing that this OKC team was missing and it kind of hurt them coming down this stretch is the second time in Lucas carrer is going to be in the Western Conference Finals remarkable for a team that didn’t even make the postseason last year so now they have a date with either Denver or Minnesota let’s go to the Thunder side of this whole thing they had the best record in the west all year long so does it kind of feel like a let down it doesn’t feel like a let down because this is a very talented team like I I stand by the let down for me was their roster construction of the bigs Shay is talented Jaylen Williams is talented they Chad HR was special this year they had so so much to to build off of this year it was not a let down they were ahead of schedule I just think the entire basketball Community wanted them to have a little bit more because that team that we saw tonight were probably one player away from going to the Conference Finals and potentially the NBA Finals yeah they’re still so young but what a game it was my goodness
