Definitely has no inklings of leaving OKC. Hope the summer working out and playing with Australia helps him out. Will be interesting what an extension would look like for him, obviously his personal stock is low after this postseason. But the thunder don’t normally let guys go into unrestricted free agency, usually either will sign an extension or be traded before that last year. Don’t hate the idea of keeping him as a 6th man on a discount

Such an impressive interview. His honestly talking about his mentality after game 1 is refreshing and he has such a mature great perspective

Well that interview got me in the feels. Very open and honest with what a tough year it was for him mentally across both the on court and off court challenges. It has made him more bonded to this team for sure, the way he spoke about his brothers was touching. At 21 he shows maturity beyond his years, wants to get better, it has lit a fire in his belly which you love to see. In a game full of egos and attitude he is a refreshing change, you canāt hate the kid. For him to come out of this season mentally stronger can only be a good thing

As an Aussie, and someone who is related to Josh, I am slightly biased. But, how can you hate this young man? No matter how he played in this series – we have all seen how he can play when he knows his role in a squad (he looked a little confused in his role the last two games) and is mentally fit (considering the off court stuff this season). He is a legitimate star of the future. 21 years old? Speaking the way he is speaking about developing himself as a player FOR the betterment of his team. Wild.
Looking forward to his future, I personally hope it is with OKC (as I love this squad and org). But at the end of the day, it’s gotta work for everyone involved. Presti and front office knows what Josh can do, there just needs to be some open discussion and shuffling to make it all gel. This off season will be interesting.
