Statistically Jokic was better. SGA led a surprise #1 seed.
And you’ll hear both of those mentioned 100x before you’ll see Luka get credit for holding this team together for 5 months. We were ravaged by injuries and very much a flawed team even when healthy. Luka’s brilliance and nightly exceptional play kept us competitive until we got healthy and brought in some help.
And yet that doesn’t seem worthy of consideration to most people. Luka did everything asked of him this year – show up in good shape, commit to putting in effort on defense, and improve his attitude (yeah he still complains way too much but he was better overall).
I can’t wait to see how the goalposts move again next year. Luka already sees voter fatigue yet has never been given serious consideration for MVP.

He should have, the seeding argument is negated by the injuries. 50 wins with his stats should have been more than enough but they changed narratives last minute.

From 8th or 9th (i dont remember) to 5th seed, Luka carried the team in injuries, 73pt game, bleeding knees games, that run when the team was healthy. Yeah he deffinetly didn’t deserve the MVP 🤡

Name one iconic game joker had this year…… I’ll wait

Luka had Kyrie as a superstar duo, Jokic had to carry his team of roleplayers to go this far

It’s alright he’ll get that finals MVP

MVP award shouldn’t hold as much weight as it does. It’s all subjective and there’s no criteria.

The media absolutely LOVE Ant, SGA and Tatum, so Luka will need to have the best stats like this season and be 1st seed. Any other scenario they’ll give it to one of those 3 or Jokic.
