This loss really hurts because it was solely due to the lack of heart. The wolves just wanted it more in that 4th quarter. I couldn’t believe all the offensive rebounds they kept getting from our guys not boxing out. That’s elementary school stuff. Gobert fouled out and KAT was about to. We would’ve had them if we just did the basics and forced OT.

Also – we need to add some depth this off-season. The wolves seemed like they had way more contributing pieces than us which prevailed.

Thankfully I have many other things to do other than Nuggets basketball, so I can step away for a bit. Watch the Celtics walk into a championship in the meantime, Wolves will beat Mavs (hopefully not) but Celtics are good matchup for Wolves. I can finally finish my games, books, catch up on podcasts, go hoop at the gym more and get ready for the Acolyte!

  3. 30 FTA in a playoff game is foul, MN got into the bonus with 8 min left in two different quarters, completely changed the game plan

  4. PoorTonyK

I’m kind of looking forward to watching no basketball until the fall. I, like the fat man, need a break

  5. Bradleys_Chubb

My liver is counting that Nuggets loss as a win

  6. Glove_Upset

4 year-old right before bed last night: “They lost by 8 points? Don’t tell me that. You’re playing a joke.” I wish, buddy. 😢

  7. smalltoes

If I’m the nuggets I’m treating that one as a loss

Maybe I’m emotional and tired, but my little Colorado trip feels bittersweet. Although born there, I don’t have any familial ties to the state. I wonder how few times I’ll return in this life, and returning makes me remember how much I miss it.

At least the stack of unread books just gathering dust on my bedside table’s finally getting read with all this free time I now have.

  10. landlion35

I think it’s funny that some wolves fans were trying to convince us that their team is likable. They have Gobert and Kat lmao. I suspect that after this year, Ant won’t be as liked as he currently is, especially if they make the finals.

  11. YummyYumYumi

i still can’t believe our season just ended like that it feels unreal

  12. orchestrareal

We almost beat that team with 6 usable players, 1.5 of them injured. Mavs in 5.

  13. ImGonnaChubbBradley

Alright I have scrolled long enough that I have cleared most of my social media from talking about the game now. The only thing left is to now is put myself in a dark room for 72 hours like Gobert did last off season.

  14. At least with all this free time now and my knee doing better I can ramp up my workouts now. The only thing I wanted to do after the loss was go hit red rocks for a grueling workout lol

  15. YummyYumYumi

I won’t watch any basketball until next year everything basketball reminds me of the nuggets

  16. Savahoodie

Someone on here just tried to use “You’re probably still crying over losing Gary Harris” as an insult towards me. Smh, these new nuggets fans are really exposing themselves, ofc I miss Gary Harris.

last night legit felt like a real heartbreak, I accepted it at the moment and tried to go on with my day but I just being reminded again again we really lost and it feels like a dagger to the heart everytime im too invested in this team for my own good lol

  18. TreyMcnally

Man I’m gonna miss Jokic playing… just stoned face and doesn’t talk any trash. It’s so refreshing to watch. Now we gotta watch edwards and Luka…

  19. I’ve only suffered two really heartbreaking sports moments where I had strong belief the outcome would be different but it played out the worst way possible in the opposite direction. My boy Errol Spence getting the shit beat out of him by Crawford and last night. Tragically both have happened within the last 300 days.

  20. Mystic_ChickenTender

In moments like this I miss Earl Boykins. Yeah we sucked back then but my enjoyment was attached to loving basketball and not so much winning. Now I gotta relearn that.

  21. OhWhatsInaWonderball

People are overreacting to the loss. The starters we a net +13 rating in the regular season. They are good as hell. You don’t blow that up. They were gassed because ONE repeating is fucking hard as hell and TWO because we lacked a secondary ball handler. I have confidence we can figure out the bench and shift the minutes away from the starters next year. Murray and the rest will come back hungry. The sky isn’t falling. The team just needs a couple adjustments and time to rest physically and mentally. Next year we will be fucking back and people will remember what the nuggets are when they aren’t running on fumes!

  22. the_hammer_poo

I think what upsets me most is how toxic NBA fandom is.

  23. Most painful part of last night was watching Gobert hit that fadeaway cause I knew it was over at that moment lol.

  24. Ass-Packer

I can’t wait til 2 days from now when all the people who haven’t watched the nuggets all season until this series stop commenting about what drastic moves they think the front office should make

  25. UndisclosedLocation5

I’m not so much heartbroken at the loss as many here seem to be. I’m kinda sad about not having Nuggets bball for 6 months but yeah can’t win em all and we still have 2 titles here in very recent memory and elite players on our teams at Ball. Ok, and we didn’t reach the WFC but we did one thing that Nuggets couldn’t do for decades, which is eliminating the Lakers.

  26. fuck_you_bruno_mars

I was ready to talk SO much shit on /r/nba for this stupid 50 win team narrative they keep parading around. The worst part though, is seeing Lakers fans happy. Fuck the Lakers

  27. DefiniteSauce12

The horse is dead, but I hate how we didn’t abuse Conley at all on defense, but the wolves continuously picked on Jamal during the series.

  28. sennyldrak

I’m bumming, but the silver lining is that.. there’s no way in hell that Jok wins MVP next year! This means we have a shot at the ‘ship again!

  29. SinceWayBack1997

need another wing player who can create besides jamal.

  30. _absofuckinglutely

@ mod can I get a flair change to “Rajah’s Mom”

  31. finn_odalih

Seeing that all the conf finals games are every other day, I don’t think Jamal’s calf would’ve survived.
