  1. He’s involved but not really involved. I’ll explain it to you later

  2. _Zap_Rowsdower_

Same dumbass “JJ is the front runner”

  3. cmurray555

If true, this is a big W for the anti-JJ brigade

  4. nottherealstanlee

Both sides making sure they’re not “held responsible” if JJ flops lol

Idk. I just have feeling it’s all hot air. I see us going for Adelman or Nori. Maybe even Cassell.

  5. doyourjobpelinka

well there you go…you don’t have to hire Lebron’s podcast buddy…if he’s not involved in these decisions Rob you have a clear path to make the right choice…no Kkutch pressure at all ..

  6. RicoFerret44

If he’s got 1 year left, 2 max I doubt he’s been involved as much as we think

  7. Well, let’s see, LeBron is projected to retire in 2 years. Of course LeBron input is crucial but this is all on AD. He will be our star moving forward. Lakers want a long term coach and satisfying your star should solidifily that.

idk I just feel like the JJ hype is a smokescreen and they’re going to end up hiring Nori or Adelman

  9. AntSmith777

LeBron doesn’t have to talk to the Lakers. Rich Paul is talking to them.

bron put the ball in their court 💁🏾‍♀️ stop hiding behind his name & make your front office decisions in confidence. FO hired frank & scam and this time will be no different

& maybe lowkey conspiracy hat but I think bron waited this long to even say anything (via his agent) to give jj, a friend, time to make his own decision or figure out what’s going on. so they must’ve had a discussion already

    Pipe dream

    Hc: Adelman
    Assistants: Hollins, Nori, Rondo, JJ

  12. immunityfromyou

I’m pretty sure JJ won’t be hired and this is just good press for him that he’s even being mentioned in the conversation to be a coach.

There is no benefit to LBJ saying he’s involved. It’s like there are no benefits to GMs admitting a player is on the block. These insider info are non-story as it does not prove of disprove anything.

  14. StoneColdAM

He’s involved. However he doesn’t want to be the final decision maker. Wants the front office to own the move.

“It’s your team. I mean, I definitely have a guy in mind, but I don’t wanna influence you. It’s your responsibility, I mean uh, decision. I trust you. But don’t f*ck it up.”

    (not) LeGM

  16. LeBron James isn’t involved, but a guy named JeBron Lames is.

  17. Brokenbullet14

Windhorst said this last week, where have y’all been

  18. hyouringan

He’s so checked out anyway. Can’t wait until the Bron era is over. Go ahead and downvote.

  19. I think he doesn’t want to get blamed for “picking” a coach that ultimately isn’t given a decent roster and gets scapegoated by Pelinka again

  20. He said y’all not about to put this JJ Redick hire on me lmaooooo

  21. This should all be on AD. He’s still on contact and is the future of this team, with or without LeBron.

  22. Le8ronJames

Yea just like he had no decision in the Shabazz Napier pick. Just because he doesn’t have a say doesn’t mean they’re not influenced by him.

  23. TroubledMang

He definitely doesn’t want his stamp on any coaching decision after they threw Vogel under the bus, and hired an inept assistant coach that probably cost the team a chip.

  24. Hindi_Ko_Alam

I’m sure he’s telling the truth. The dude’s career is almost over and he has nothing left to prove in the league.
