Houston Rockets Trading For Luke Kennard⁉️
yo what’s going on guys this Houston sports up back another the video day and today we’re going to be talking about the Houston Rockets potentially trading for veteran shooting guard Luke Canard from the Memphis Grizzlies as Houston Rockets do have a couple former Memphis Grizzlies players on this roster that have played with each other it wouldn’t be a terrible idea to add another one in you have Dylan Brooks you have Stephen Adams uh but I mean the reason why I’m talking about this trade is not CU oh let’s just you know get all the Memphis Grizzlies we can it’s because the rockets need three-point shooting and that has been addressed by em adoka about the three-point shooting needs that this team has uh that’s why there are so many rumors that this Rockets team is going to be looking at someone like Reed Shepard in the draft at number three overall so I’m going to go over a trade that has been suggested by Bach report uh this was a article on Bach report right after the draft lottery which was uh trades for all lottery teams and this was the trade that Bleacher Report suggested for the Rockets to land them loot can Luke Canard to the rockets for J Shawn Tate and jock landel you know this is not a bad trade for the Rockets you have stepen Adams returning from injury you have alron senon there is no honestly in my opinion there is no need for Jack landal Jack landal had a really good you know finish of the season when senon got injured or you know he actually started going he got he got it going a little bit before shenon got injured but then once shenon got injured he got more minutes got more playing time and ran away with it he had one of the best plus minuses on the team but at the same time he’s not going to get minutes over Stephen Adams and ALR Zenon yes it would maybe be a decent idea to keep him because those are two guys that have had injuries I mean Stephen Adams was out all year last year singon did have an injury at the end of the year but I feel like it is I we’re not going to pay $8 million for a third Center on the roster cuzz you know if you if you keep him on you’re paying him $8 million a year uh the Rockets gave him a 4year 30 $2 million contract which first year is guaranteed uh the rest of the years were not guaranteed now I don’t know if keeping on the roster guarantees the rest of the years but he would definitely get 8 million next year as well so uh yeah I honestly think that trade him and you know if if you want if you want to get a third center next to Stephen Adams and and Al senon sign someone for cheaper draft someone you have you have the 44th overall pick if you you want to go draft another Center for to be your third Center or sign someone who’s a little bit cheaper you can sign other centers for around one around 2 to 4 million dollars uh that you know are going to be just as good if not better than jock and are making you know you know way less money than him so uh honestly I think it’s a good idea for the Rockets to to you know trade jock Lando then for J shant Ted I mean I like J shant Ted I love the toughness and you know the great you know defense he brings great rebounding as well but he has he has you know as as this team gets better as this team gets more draft assets and uh more guys as are minutes more healthier as well with guys like tar een senon and stepen Adams being healthy next year the Rockets they honestly have no no desire there’s no way to play J shed at all um he he will not get any minutes and the rockets need to trade him at some point I believe they will trade him I don’t think they’re going to decline his team option because they could get some decent they they could get some decent compensation from him there were teams that were offering like two or three second round picks for J Shante last uh trade deadline so I think there are definitely there definitely are some teams that will be interested in jante because Jan Tate really could help a contender um you know he is he’s like a PJ Tucker who can’t shoot um you obviously PJ Tucker is a great three-point shooter he has been compared he’s been called the PJ Tucker that can’t shoot the ball uh he’s not a terrible scorer but just not a great shooter so uh you trade jant and jack landal for Luke Canard Luke Canard played 40 games last year at 22 starts averaging 25 minutes per game from three uh he shot 45% and what if I told you this was actually lower uh than his last season his last season before that shot 49% so he shot 45% this year with 11 points per game and three and a half assists per game three rebounds per game game from three shot 45% like I said the 2223 season with the Clippers and the the Clippers and the Grizzlies he was traded and he shot 49% 52% this is crazy almost 53% with the Grizzlies shooting 7.13 Point uh sorry that’s field goal percentage uh 3 50 this is even better 54% from the three with the Grizzlies in 2022 23 season on almost six three-point attempts and with the Clippers averaging only four three-point attempts 44% total season 49.4% uh he averaged 12 points per game with the Grizzlies and eight points per game with the Clippers now in the 2021 22 season he finished fifth place in six men of the Year award and finished the season with 12 three and two so 12 points per game and from three he shot uh his three-point percentage was 44 sorry yeah yeah 44 almost 45% 44.9 um and so that’s basically 45 uh so yeah in his career three-point percentage he’s been in the league for a total of seven seasons his total three-point percentage in his career is 44% the rockets need three-point shooting they need better efficient three-point shooting and um yeah they I’ve said they needed they need to build Shooters are around alren senon uh to make him a better facilitator I’ve talked about how yic has so many you know if you’re want a big look at a big man who’s who’s you know a great facilitator like like joic where he has so many weapons uh so many guys around him like Aon Gordon uh you know who he can give the ball to you know in the paint Michael Porter Jr who shoots the ball cavius coo Pope you know he two guys he has really good Shooters right there Jamal Murray a good shooter as well uh so I mean y has the great team around him uh to facilitate and I don’t really believe y i i really sorry I really don’t believe that chingon has that Jaylen green is a great scorer uh a little bit inefficient great scorer but you know a lot of what he’s doing scoring the basketball is you know he’s creating his shots 85% of the time um you know jaylen’s going to create all of his shots he’s going know he he’s better you know he’s better at scoring the basketball that way uh compared to if other people are going to be creating the shot for him uh yes he can he can do it that way but Jaylen is better when you know when he has the basketball and he you know and he’s creating his own shots now Fred’s kind of the same way and um you know Dylan and Jabar are good shooting options for shingun to get the ball to but they’re they’re inefficient and Luc Canard is not that and you get to get rid of two contracts that you know are not going to play for you next year and jock and Jan yes maybe they can help you out if you get injured but I feel like Luke Canard he provides a a team need that this team really needs bad and that’s three-point shooting and that’s efficient three-point shooting that Luke Canard brings as well uh but yeah let me know your thoughts on the potential TR for the rockets in the comment section and peace out go Rockets
