Sources close to the matter say Rich’s fingers were crossed behind his back.

Tell that to LeBron’s body language analysts and psychology experts in this sub.

LeBron knows Pelinka is trying to pin the hire entirely at his feet so he can’t be blamed if it goes sideways. This shit always has to be messy.

Rich Paul’s comment doesn’t explicitly deny that LeBron wants JJ Redick as the next head coach. If that were the case, he could have simply stated, “LeBron doesn’t want JJ as the next head coach.” Instead, he chose a more evasive wording, leaving room for interpretation.

LeBron choosing to stay in LA despite the optics war from the front office is something. Guess he must really like living there with his family.

Lebron and Rich Paul speaking up now. They probably know Reddick is getting the HC job and want to make it clear that it wasn’t entirely Lebron’s choice.

It’s LeBron we are talking about here, of course this means he wants jj as his next head coach.

Interesting reading it after someone posting LeBron isn’t participating of the coach search.
I guess there is absolutely no reason to even interview a podcaster for the Lakers head coach job if it isn’t a LeBron demand.

I’m of the opinion that Lebron and Klutch stopped shadow GM’ing after the Westbrook fiasco, so I’m inclined to believe them here. On the other hand, our FO has been tight lipped since Magic left, so I don’t believe “Redick is in serious considerations” is anything more than clickbait. But for all we know, Redick could be a fantastic coach

This is bron telling rob to find a real coach

Honestly the fo using bron as the meat shield the last 2 yrs has been fucking infuriating. Bron fucked yo pining for Westbrook but the fo has constantly been cheap and made inexplicably poor decisions otherwise.
Ia_in_4
Lakers fo doing everything to test if bron just fucking walks. Why should he be the fall guy. Fucking only reason we haven’t been dogshit

The only time we know for sure LeBron wanted a coach it was Ty Lue and the Lakers insulted him with a low ball 3 year offer.

So much on the line, and the Lakers are going to gamble on a brand new coach?
Historically it hasnt worked out for the Lakers since Riley and he was an assistant. Magic, Luke, and the infamous Pockets did not work out.
Seems every move the fo, whether that’s Pelinka with the Rambi’s input idk, is made with the thought of being able to deflect criticism onto someone else if it goes wrong. Seems they’re starting it with AD now with the ham firing and then stating AD has input on the new coach. Wouldn’t think anything of the reports if there wasn’t a history of them putting out reports in advance to be able to shield themselves from criticism if whatever move they make doesn’t work out. Needs to stop because they shouldn’t be making moves with the thought in the back of their minds of who they can pin it on if it goes wrong.
