Overpay in terms of draft picks , sure. In terms of players…nah need the depth. We’re a very strong champion contender if healthy. Need to stay healthy with good minute delegation.

  2. This could be Leon Rose’s coup de grâce, Mikal the only sure-fire upgrade outside of trading for a MVP-caliber players.

Whatever he does with the stash of draft picks, potentially a deal pivotal in franchise history after the acquisition of Brunson.

  3. I want to believe this will play out in our favor, but I’m almost certain the Nets will hold firm on a ridiculous package from the NYK only to end up accepting a mid package elsewhere.

Fuck the Nets. They need to do right by Bridges and let him join his guys.

Might be a hot take please don’t hate me for it but I don’t think we need him. Our team is well made what we really need just a stronger overall bench and we could do anything. If you need proof look at January. I know everybody’s tired of us Knicks fans “BUT JANUARY??” But seriously full health great defensively and even good offensively cause of our options. And don’t forget bogdan who to my memory hasn’t even played with the full team. Mikal is a good player. Hell he does need to be on a team trying for contention. But I don’t think that’s the Knicks.

I’m just confused on who people think we can trade for booker or bridgers besides Randle and there’s no way in hell they’re dealing him to BK.

pay OG and Ihart the best we can and run it back.

Remember we would never make a deal with Raptors, in the middle of a lawsuit, until we did.

If youre the Nets the path is youth movement and draft development akin to Thunder. An over pay in picks could make this happen considering all the factors.

The Nets Knicks rivalry is ultimately over until Nets build back up in 3 to 4 years. So sending Mikal over isn’t going to be anything crazy that makes life any worse for them.

If the pick haul is good enough to be win win, both teams benefiting just means more money for both markets.

Simmons is a clown, if he says it that means it won’t happen

  8. Johnnnybones

Was he reporting this or just making shit up?

I’m not trading anyone from the rotation other than bojan and we don’t have money to pay him next year if we max Brunson and big contracts to OG and randle right?

  10. frankslastdoughnut

We don’t need picks. Send it. Bojan, plus 3 firsts.

Leon got a fair deal done with Masai, after years of gridlock. I have some faith.

  12. The_Uncut_Gem

Who are we putting to the bench then? Divo, one of the best three point shooters in the league?

  13. osamabingambling

Leon rose and world wide west will know what to do,we trust them

If Bridges forces his way out, the Nets will have no choice but to move him.

If Bridges makes it known to whomever that potentially trades for him that he’ll only sign long term with the Knicks, that lowers his value even more.

Everyone knows he wants to play with his boys.

    It’s going to happen eventually.

Same thing with Mitchell potentially taking less to play for his dream team.

Knicks are finally becoming that destination players desire again, all because of Brunson.

Is this quote just being pulled from this mornings pod? If so Bill was 100% just speculating, it wasn’t even an “I’m hearing things,” comment.

Bridges is the guy to get, even not considering the villanova connection. He plugs holes we have, wont be too expensive to get, and is not a big personality star.

The last thing this team needs is someone like lebron coming in and totally changing our dynamic. And im sure some of these 2010s divas see how good we are and have interest in coming here and making the team all about them. No thanks.

  17. DanUnbreakable

You don’t give up a big in Randle for a SG. They have no size if they do it.

  18. Everyone on the Knicks gets honorary Villanova degrees if this happens

  19. SackoVanzetti

Can you imagine teams trying to go up against oG and bridges 😂

  20. Pablo_Undercover

There’s gonna be a lot of movement between Atlanta Cavs Brooklyn and Knicks, with Mitch McBride, Bojan and picks being moved imo

Observing how the Knicks organization moves these days, i do not predict them being very active this summer with free agents or trades. They’ll resign OG (there’s no way they’d trade RJ for him if they believed he wouldn’t resign), try to resign Hartenstein and if there’s an upgrade to be made for the bench, they’ll do it. Most glaring need is a backup point guard. Thibs only plays an 8 man rotation so you got Hart, Deuce, Mitch and maybe a PG if we can get one.

They made it to game 7 of the second round with an entire litany of injuries. There’s no way they’re blowing the team up.
