NBA TODAY | “Celtics should be worried about Pacers now” – Richard on Haliburton crush Knicks in GM7
than that right Rich yeah it does not I didn’t make it to game seven it was only four games but it was still man playing in the garden special elimation but this NBA today is your home for all things Indiana Pacers let’s go let’s I feel the Highlight Josh Hart noi noi they were cleared to play in this one so let’s pick this up early in the first we’re going to show you o OG only played about 4 minutes and 41 seconds it’s cuz largely he looked a little bit hobbled a little bit a little bit hobbled is like saying I’m a little bit bald okay I’m just being really honest but he was doing and look respect OG respect the entire Nick organization they fought at times just look just the injuries can be too much to overcome we’ve seen it with other teams it was just unfortunate this grinding team and how how hard they fought it was just too much for them I don’t know who halberton started talking to Courtside but uh whoever that was fueled this well look that’s one thing about the Nick crowd they will fire you up they’ll have both they’ll have it both ways they’ll fire you up good and bad but at the end of the day it was just tough you can’t be critical of the Knicks in any manner in any way shape or form this is a great offense going against a short-handed team well we can be complimentary at the Pacers because they shot more than 76% from the field in the first half that’s the highest in any playoff half in the last 25 seasons and for anyone who said well that’s not sustainable last night it was it was sustainable and this was obviously the play of the game this was the play of the game right there shooting hand broken finger he knew yeah so Jaylen Brunson sits down here eventually he would go back to the locker room and would be out for the rest of the game in the meantime Indiana just kept pouring it on TJ MC caral so underrated no he’s so underrated he’s a special guard he is the definition of an elite backup point guard in this league and they just keep that pace going when Tyrese is out the game so this is the moment that Brunson went back to the locker room you can see his father coach Rick Brunson there on the bench Tyrese halberton though pulls up for three you know that’s good oh yeah and look we people were asking like oh he chirps a lot and it’s like but he always punching up he like if you he don’t talk unless spoken to but when he’s spoken to he speaks loudly 26 points six assists for halberton who is not surprised that the Pacers are on their way back to the Conference Finals that was what we communicated from the jump that we expected to be here this ain’t a surprise for us um you know it’s no fluke we we we expect this from our group and then once we added P we knew that we could really take off so um it doesn’t really matter what anybody thinks except for the people in our travel party 70 80 people who come um cuz I don’t think anybody here pick the Pacers to win the series but it happened I have picture proof yeah we’re going to get into the sweatshirt in just a little bit but the Pacers made history last night right Chade they shot over 67% from the field that is the highest field goal percentage in a playoff game in NBA history and here is exactly what it looked like the 130 points scored last night it is tied for the most by any team in a game seven since the Lakers that was all the way back in 1966 against the Hawks so Chan how exactly can this offensive output continue against the Boston Celtics next round look the Eastern Conference Finals is a matchup of the two best offenses in the NBA and Boston they really do it with their threes but the Pacers they do it with their speed and ball movement as they led the league in passes and assists per game that is their identity so as we take it to the court I’ll show you how great they are offensively with speed watch this this is in transition everyone’s ball watching and look at tyres halberg he takes a dead Sprint over to get his shot he was 6 for 12 from three that one’s from 29 ft so they can score in bunches and in flurries now let’s talk about the double team because without ogan and Obi being fully healthy Pascal seak had 20 points he attracts a double but they’re so good with their footwork they move well without the ball here here’s a quick pass and then guess who this puts in a blender Alec burs he had a great game but he was lost on this possession because the double team and the ball movement allowed an easy finish and last but not least when they’re doing this on dead balls it’s next level so this is an out of bounds play watch how quick look at their speed halberton turns the corner someone’s reaching here then we get it to Pascal Pascal is able to he’s cooking he draws two Dante you reach it tyres Halbert has a choice right here he can make the extra pass Jaylen Brunson only has to stunt and then he’s able to knock it down again these are the two best offenses in the NBA it’s going to be a quick turnaround but I do think that lends to the Pacers favor in that their chemistry moving forward can really go up well against the Celtics yeah we’re talking about the top two offenses in the regular season but the defense for the Celtics six that’s what could be a Difference Maker because in the regular season they were top five versus the Indiana Pacers they were all the way down at 24th but you can see here the opening odds on your screen but Kendrick Perkins how much trouble can the Pacers give the Celtics do you think in these Eastern Conference Finals despite being the heavy underdogs oh a whole lot of trouble as much trouble as me sneaking to the refrigerator late at night to get a snack okay and then look when you talk about the paces right we know all season long right what they were they were a finessed team because of the offensive numbers they were able to put up scoring wise but what show what what they showed me in these playoffs is that they able to get in the trenches and get dirty especially after that coach called them out Aaron n Smith I thought he did an exceptional job Nim har he did an exceptional job with his physicality and one important matchup to look at is not the superstars of all stars it’s TJ McConnell against Payton pitcher pyton Pritchard watch that match up watch that match up I think it’s gonna be late night to the fridge for a snack what are you grabbing Kevin Garnett he steu the stat sheet 32 points 21 rebounds five blocks four steals in a clinching victory over the Sacramento Kings two decades later and Minnesota has a chance to make their first Finals appearance in franchise history they’ve been one of the best stories I think of the season they were 30 to1 to win the West entering the year which was 11th in the conference and then Denver was the clear-cut favorite to win the West heading into the SE wow I didn’t know that’s how far back they were to start is that kind of crazy to see the the leaps that they made start listen Richard Richard Richard let’s take a listen to Denver after their Quest was cut short you’re going to want to hear Michael Malone no I don’t how hard is it just to absorb a loss like this after after going ahead by 20 next question man the season’s over that’s what’s hard being up 20 the season’s over you don’t understand that the season’s over it’s hard stupid questions now look this has been the talk of everything the last you know couple hours especially this morning I think I understand the emotion I completely understand the emotion players are often asked to get up there and give that emotion every single time the issue here is that’s not a dumbass question that’s a good question that’s a great question they want you to talk about it and the thing that I think a lot of people have issue with is the majority of time coaches they take a step back when a team wins a championship they take a step back Mike Malone was front and center and he should be if you want to be front and center do that be the guy that’s celebrating your guys that’s cracking jokes that’s kind of you know throwing Jabs at the Lakers saying that be that guy that’s cool but be that guy all the time very similar to ant Edwards ant Edwards is always ant Edwards and so I think the disappointing thing here is you can be the C you we’ve celebrated you we should give you the flowers you have the three-time MVP we are giving Denver Nuggets their flowers but then to get up there and to say that that question is is stupid to say that that’s not a good question no no no no you’re in your feelings you’re in your emotions and that’s okay I can support that but let’s let’s also call spade a spade that was as a coach you just expect better you should be a gentleman in success and you should be a man in Failure yeah they got better from their three-time MVP Nikola jokic’s response he said yeah this was a team that was built to take us down this is a team that has Allstars that has defensive players of the year and so when you see that composure one side I was not surprised because we have gotten those spicy responses the last year but that was not the time nor place for you to celebrate or commemorate even a season that has fallen short it’s not the sentiment it’s the disrespect that stuck with me pun you you know what it’s easy when everything is Peaches and Cream right to address the media especially if you’re a player if you’re a coach okay but look when that Verity hit then your true character is going to show and think about this series right we had a we had an incident in game what was it game two that Jamal Murray threw a heat pack on the floor at the official he was frustrated we saw Michael Malone getting in Mark Davis face running off the bench who he should have got a technical foul now all of a sudden you blow a 20o well yeah you blow a 20-point lead and all of a sudden now you go to the media right he rushed to the media because he wanted to get it out the way because he really didn’t want to talk about it instead of taking a step back and saying you know what let me gather myself let me have a moment for myself before I go and address the media and then you disrespect the reporter right so now showing your true character Michael Malone he has to apologize okay because that was just flat out disrespectful that reporter was doing his job that was a great question that he asked and it was an honest question that he asked and Michael Malone should have answered it with an honest answer not getting in his feelings I understand right the great Ray Allen always said I didn’t never like to do postgame interviews especially after we lost because I may say something crazy so he will wait the next day but it’s not always the next day that you have that much time so at the end of the day look I’m not trying to sit up here and say Michael Malone this is to sum up who he is as a person I don’t believe that but he did have this moment and he had his moments the Denver Nuggets did in this series because the Minnesota Temple someone throw me a Rolling Rock I’ll grind you into dust hold protection an enemy has been defeated back off I’ll take I believe it will be a tough series rather than a walk in the park
Another Gentleman's sweep where Boston loses a game at home. Wake me up June 6th
ESPN disrecpted the pacers
stupid video…
For future references, please don’t have that black woman wear open toe shoes on a national TV, her toes look like talons😂
We could’ve swept them if we were healthy..
Perk shut up!
Celtics havnt lost on the road and Pacers have won all home games this playoffs. Love it and what this series can be. Celtics should win but lose a game or 2 like they always do. I like Tatum over 29.5 points and Siakam under 7.5 boards
Tyrese different
I remember when men covered men sports the glory days
