  1. I would assume so too, just nice to hear it from a source and not my useless mouth

  2. Fvckyourdreams

Just his best situation. Not a surprise. The Team you want to Win with and get Paid on is already there. Hope OG is the same. I have a feeling he’ll stay. NYC probably so lit rn for them. 😉

Begley is ol’reliable, but I feel like he lost all his sources once Leon Rose overturned the entire regime

Hartenstein has his best season of his career as a Knickerbockers so he needs to stay.

It’s the easiest bet ever. He’s not going to OKC for a few extra mil after what just happened this season.

  6. Where would y’all rank Hartenstein in starting Centers that made the Eastern conference playoffs? Outplayed by Embid, which of course was expected but also came up short versus Turner.

I know context, role, injuries to the team matter but when I look at the rest of the centers that made the playoffs in the east, I got Hartenstein ranked like 7th, beating out the Magic’s starting center.

  7. Unless either LA team offers him a big contract, I don’t see him leaving NY. His wife prefers to work out of either city. He definitely ain’t going to the Nets that’s for damn sure.

Nice. I was thinking that he is gone. I’m hoping Begley is on point on this one.

  9. Hopefully. It’s just not a strong market for big men and hope someone doesn’t come from out of nowhere

I think he’s coming back. Just like Jalen Brunson would have signed the extension with Dallas if it had been offered, iHart would have re-signed with the Clips if they hadn’t pivoted to Wall, I think he’ll accept the best offer we can make and hope he has a conversation with Jalen about how this keeps their team together. I hope they then have the same conversation with OG and Randle so they re-sign/extend for very good but not selfish contracts.

It just makes too much sense. He’s played his best basketball with this team and this coach. You can tell he loves the guys in the locker room and has really bought into the culture/identity within. Finally the thing that people haven’t mentioned yet: his wife is a model. There’s no better place for her to be for her work other than maybe LA.

I really really hope he comes back. idk if he knows how much the fans truly love him / his game.

Any other players in NBA’s name start with Hart?

  13. The_Notorious_Donut

Why? Can’t he get more money elsewhere? Can he sign a one year deal then get more from Knicks once that deal is up? How’s this work

  14. The Knicks probably are gonna do a 16.2 million dollar deal with a 1 year player option for 17.5 million.

Then agree to a “handshake” deal for an extension when the Knicks bird rights hit for 22.5 a year. I think that would satisfy all parties.

NBA free agency is funny. But IHart needs to do what he truly wants. If he wants the bag it’s best for him to leave. If he wants to stay he should accept a Knicks offer. Taking a hometown discount when you want a bigger contract will only breed resentment. Or go bag chasing, get it, and within a few years they get cut only to be never seen again. I don’t want this to be like a DeAndre Jordan situation where he wanted to go to the Mavs but they stiff armed him to staying in LA and then his play was never the same and he was later traded. He got the bag though.

  16. fuggettabuddy

Let’s back up IHart with Edey at #25 💪

  17. Does iHart not want to listen to some offers at least? Could be his agents strategy to make other teams to over pay?

  18. dreamvomit

Big to hear this from big body Begley. He doesn’t mess around with speculation so he definitely has some info

  19. Wide_Seat36

Fingers crossed for some positive developments for the Knicks! Let’s hope for fruitful negotiations and exciting prospects for the team.

Or we can just draft hartenstein 2.0 in filipowski lol

  21. Literal_Satan

OKC is the threat. If they decide to move away from 5out/small ball iHart would be near the top of their list alongside claxton and they have the money to overpay either if they want.

I think knicks have home court advantage because he and his wife like it here more than OKC and they are already established here and have a great thing going, but money is money and if OKC offers a bag he might start thinking twice
