Denver averaged 84.8 points in defeat and 114.7 in victories against Minnesota. The issue was never more obvious than a nine-minute stretch of the third quarter in the series-deciding game. After scoring 53 points in the first half, the Nuggets scored just 14 in the third. Five of those points came in first 70 seconds of the quarter and six more came in the final 90 seconds.”
