I wouldn’t hate it, but I wouldn’t love it either. After having DLo and Reaves, I thought our goal was to get more athletic in the backcourt? We need guards who are young and active on defense, not old and slow.

CP getting even 20ish minutes off the bench in that Rondo role would do so much for this team and AD specifically.

Cp3 could completely unlock Wemby, it would be completely fucked if they made the play in next year because CP3 somehow revived his career in SA and the Lakers didn’t….

  4. LastnFirst

13 years (?? right?) too late. Fuck David Stern.

  5. PNWlakeshow

All depends on the amount. I doubt it will come at vet min unfortunately

  6. Gristle__McThornbody

Absolutely would take it. Although I can see the Spurs offering him an MLE or some shit which he would take.

If you think the refs hate us now, just wait until we get CP3! 😂

Yes for a minimum. Provide a very good veteran presence off the bench and at the minimum solid playmaking for a few minutes. I wouldn’t hate it.

  9. I have a hard time believing he will pick wemby over bron and ad and a chance at another run. There is really nothing to lose if he signs a vet min.

Honestly think he should go to the Spurs. Wemby would really benefit from him.

As someone who hasn’t followed CP as much this year, would he be good on the court at this stage of his career on a vet minimum? Or, is he more a locker room general for the youngsters? I imagine he could really help Reaves with his game.

  12. gratitudeisbs

Don’t really want him but at the minimum, could be useful off the bench

  13. angel2timez

You guys liked Skylar Mays, CP3 on a min would be great for any team

  14. KarrotMovies

No way people are saying no to Chris Paul on a vet min. That’s a steal, especially since the team has no one to run the offense if our starting PG and LeBron are resting

  15. Agreed_fact

He could help the lakers in non-Lebron minutes. Rather see him with the spurs and Wemby for a year or two. He’d do wonders for their team.

CP3 off the bench on a reasonable deal is not a terrible idea at all. Yall are insane. We also need a more athletic backcourt. Both things can be true.

  17. KungFuChicken1990

He would be a great pickup for the minimum, imo. Steady veteran presence, can provide play making and some scoring off the bench.

  18. im-a-drawl

He’s a 39 year old point guard now. Sure sign him to a min so he can be a locker room guy but he shouldn’t be playing meaningful minutes on a team that wants to contend.
