Before Larry was drafted by Celtics: Missed playoffs x 2.
After Larry was drafted by Celtics: 5 NBA Finals in 9 years, another 3 ECF, 3 rings.
Wins in those 9 seasons? 61, 62, 63, 56, 62, 63, 67, 59, 57
There’s a reason we call him Legend.

Rings, he need rings!

Not cherry picked. It shows Tatum is on pace to score a lot of postseason points.
He’s already 44th, assuming 25ppg and at least 6 more games this year. He’ll be 41st.
If the Celtics continue to have deep runs, he’ll soar up the list.

Rare opportunity for Tatum where the team is always a contender going on deep runs but gets taken to 6-7 games so often lol

Bird played in an era where the 3 didn’t *really* exist like it does today. The NBA scores more. The defenses that Larry and MJ played against have been made illegal. Context matters. If the league is scoring 40% more per game now, Larry and Mike would have found a way to score 40% extra (or more) as well.
Historic scoring records need to be taken with a grain of salt now. The Pacers allegedly had the world’s greatest offense in history this year — no they didn’t. They played a bunch of games against a bunch of teams that don’t play defense.
