Joe Tsai mentioned Brooklyn’s roster will be revamped this offseason to compete “in the long run” rather than win immediately. Tsai wants to take a “longer-term approach” and build a sustainable winner. Would seem to take them out of DLo sign and trade scenarios

More importantly, takes them out of Donovan Mitchell rumors if this holds true. Obviously that seems like a pipe dream, but would take the number of interested teams down to us, Miami and Houston. This is what he gets for the Kyrie debacle

I mean importantly possibly is that Houston would be interested in Bridges which would mean they’d be out on Mitchell as well.

The most likely scenario is still Mitchell staying, but money and opportunities will dry up quickly for Dlo. Maybe he opts in or maybe he tries to find a sign and trade because it seems to me Orlando is his best option. If they go in another direction, opting in might be his best bet to at least guarantee his Bird Rights remain when we trade him.

  2. I don’t know the nets pick situation but I could seem the doing a soft retool in which it actually makes sense to bring dlo back very similar to the last dlo in Brooklyn stint

Really would not be surprised if Lakers and Nets engage on some type of deal this summer. Mikal would be a dream but DFS, Cam Johnson, Sharpe all players I see Lakers having some level of interest in.

Seems like they will be sellers instead of buyers. Wish we could take a flyer on Cam Thomas but honestly it’s probably too soon to even think of that. We should get a coach then examine the current and potential roster. Otherwise we will get another Ham situation.
