I would call this team a big 3, if we did that trade. I’d be fire it. I’m sick of seeing our team be bottom 5 in offense every year. I’m sure Spo can figure out how to hide Trae on defense too. Give Spo some damn talent already. Nuff of these bums

If we can get this done without giving up Jovic or an actual 1st rounder (as suggested by this proposal), I’m good with it. Second big move this offseason would then need to be trading Duncan’s contract and a pick or two for a good defensive starting PF/SF (at least 6’10 tall) who can play next to Bam and Jovic. Try to keep Caleb, Delon, Love and Highsmith as well.
Next Year we’d have a rotation of:
Trae
Jimmy
F (we traded Duncan for)
Jovic
Bam
Bench: Caleb Delon Highsmith Love Pick 15 (if pick is not involved in Duncan trade)
The bench isn’t great so Spo would have to stagger the minutes of Jimmy and Trae/Bam making sure that at least one is always on the floor at the same time. Spo can minimize Trae’s defensive problems by not playing any small guards next to him and keeping Bam in with him. I do think that starting five gives us a legitimate chance to win the East next year especially if it stays healthy, Jovic takes the next step and the other F we trade for fits in well and is a pretty good two way player.
