yeah rumors what does rumors mean it basically means that reports that people are talking about with our New York Knicks and we don’t know what’s true or not so it’s our job to come on here and debate and talk about is this real is this something that we have to consider that the Knicks are considering themselves because in this rumor I link the article down below if you guys want to check it out Knicks have no interest in moving on from Julius Randall and now this is a report that’s kind of contradicting that but what I’m taking away from this and we’re going to go deeper into the article to really see what they’re talking about is in a hypothetical world of the Knicks needing to go after OG and give him the highest type of offer because of teams like the Philadelphia 76ers or other teams out there trying to lure OG away the Knicks may have to ship off Randall just from a standpoint of financials now I personally hope that does not happen you guys know me I’m team Julius Randall I love Julius I want him on this team next year I want the starting lineup next year to be the exact same thing as we saw when the Knicks went on a niname winning streak when we first acquired OG from the trade Jaylen Bronson Dante de venzo ogan anobi Julius Randall and a hardenstein that’s my dream starting five so I want them to be together I do not want the Knicks to have to prioritize one over the other but at the end of the day it’s a business perfect world doesn’t happen in the NBA so in this live show in this uh video in general I want to share my thoughts of this report share my thoughts of he will opt out of his deal and become a free agent he will surely have his fair share of potential suitors this summer but the Knicks seem motivated to keep him New York is especially worried about the Philadelphia 76ers making a push for him this would further stimulate the Knicks to retain him as sources say New York absolutely does not want anobi going to its division Rivals seagull notes in a quandry heading into the off season they have a rather tricky financial situation as they don’t have a whole lot of money to work with and have to worry about resigning both anobi and Senator Isaiah hardenstein this could ultimately result in New York’s seriously entertained trading Randall but would the Knicks move him I don’t know I hope not Randle went down with the shoulder injury in late January and ended up missing the r season blah blah blah blah blah blah okay now then it just goes into who Julius Randall is New York initially signed Randall in free agency yeah yeah yeah Randall is eligible for a 4-year $181 million extension with New York but the Knicks would be paying him 45 million annually under those circumstances that will potentially inhibit the club for adding another more pieces moving forward especially if New York also resigns anobi as you can see the Knicks have a dilemma on their hands Randall has in um Randall has really won over the fan base in the Big Apple and he has certainly helped put the Knicks back on the map after a couple of Decades of near irrelevancy at the same time retaining him on a huge deal could have a dire consequence we’ll see rumor is just bringing to the surface is that Nick’s fans need to realize that hey we might not be able to afford a Randle EXT extension a hardenstein extension an and an Obi extension and a Randall EXT and a a Brunson extension unfortunately that may not be realistic as much as I want that to happen um now could the Knicks not extend Randall and then just write out his contract and resign OG and resign hardenstein yes they could do that I’m curious I’m going to bring up julius’s contract details because um he is eligible for a contract but the question is will the Knicks give him a contract extension this offseason will he take a pay like we’re expecting jul uh Jaylen Brunson to do we shall see so Julius Randle is entering the season with a $30 million cap hit and then next year he has a player option where he can opt out so that’s why we’re talking about an extension for Julius Randall don’t forget we already extended him extended Julius Randle once so now the question is will we extend him for a second time um he is a free agent technically in the in the 2026 off season but he could be a free agent after next year because he does have a player option and you know usually those player options are there because the player is due to get paid more than what they’re actually getting paid for because the salary cap goes up they’re playing better ball yada y y which is why the Knicks have to make this decision now in a perfect world I would love the New York Knicks to just extend ogan anobi extend Isaiah hardenstein and we have a win now window in these next two years that’s how I look at it that’s how I look at it we have a win now window heading in to the next two seasons because from a financial perspective it is very unrealistic to expect the Knicks to extend Jaylen Brunson extend Julius Randall give OG an anobi a max deal and extend Isaiah harste we would probably have to ship off Mitchell Robinson if anything because there’s so much so much money being uh spread around here luckily for the Knicks we have Josh Hart and Dante D venzo pretty much on long-term deals for really affordable contracts and if they were both hitting the market right now they’d be demanding way way more in my opinion but the reality is folks the Knicks have to make sure they prioritize their own players they have to make sure that they retain all the talent that they have this is a very very tough decision to make this is a very tough decision to make and US Nicks fans we don’t have to make these decisions it’s of course all Leon Rose but at the end of the day man this is where Leon Rose is going to have to make his money because he brought the Knicks back into relevancy in Leon Rose he assembled the foundation he uh developed a plan and we’re seeing the plan fully come to fruition he brought in Jaylen Brunson he matched him in with Josh Hart he brought in Dante D venzo okay he signed isah hartenstein he made trades for OG made trades for buam bogdanovich I mean this is the roster Leon Rose has assembled and now he has so many assets underneath his belt right now okay including a lot of draft picks so the Knicks can get creative here the Knicks can get very creative here but as of right now there are some rumors circulating that the Knicks May prioritize an OG ad anobi over Julius Randall if it comes to that like if they have a decision to make and they’re like in the front office do we give Randall an extension or do we sign ogan anobi that’s a decision to make if they decide to extend uh OG on anobi then what do you do with Julius random do you stick stick with him for the next two years or do you write it out um and trade him for somebody else now me personally I don’t want to trade Randall I just don’t man this is a win now team why do I want to trade an Allstar that puts up 25 10 and six I know there’s some Nicks fans that don’t really view Julius Randall as an asset right they don’t really view Julius Rand as a piece to this team I just can’t disagree more this Nick’s team is so much better with Julius I don’t want to go on a whole saly again and tell you guys why that’s the case because I’ve done it so many times on this show Knicks team to another level two years ago first season with Jaylen Brunson the Knicks get past the first round they go six with Miami first time the Knicks are in the second round in like 10 years and then this season the Knicks after trading for OG were Unstoppable with Julius Randall healthy Unstoppable and then unfortunately Randle goes down against Miami and then he never comes back to the never comes back sad so I’m just so sick of the narrative that people are trying to push on Randall that we are better off without him because I just I just don’t doesn’t sit well with me as a Knicks fan like I’m very fortunate to have Julius Randall who represents this Knicks team who who wears New York proudly on his chest who went through a lot of ups and downs with this team and he’s still here M New York we here like he brought the Knicks team back on the map I always have a soft spot for Julius but business is business and if the Knicks have to prioritize OG over Randall because it won’t literally work financially then they will have to do that so I trust Leon Rose to get the job done I trust the vision of the front office because there’s a lot of decisions to make someone in the chat asks about Mitchell Robinson this is a player that I think is the most Expendable on the roster and I love me my Mitchell Robinson trust me but after getting injured again and him having that contract that he has he could be the one that they ship off and then they try to get a backup center maybe in the draft or they go somewhere else obviously you ship off Mitchell Robinson you are resigning Isaiah hartstein that would pain me man because a healthy Mitchell Robinson takes this Knicks team to new heights so it’s either you have to um sacrifice Mitchell Robinson you have to sacrifice Julius Reynold in a trade or you just can’t resign both OG and hardenstein that’s what it comes down to man that’s what it comes down to so that’s why the Knicks are in a really tough predicament right now they have to figure out what’s best for the long term of this team and I trust in Leon Rose I trust in the vision because what they’ve got to us to this point has been quickley who had the hearts of every single Nicks fan the fact that he traded him and RJ the way that they did in the middle of the Season out of nowhere tells me that they would trade anybody not
