always are and then the Tim the Mavericks coming back as they always do yeah Luca just really good at always seeing the floor and keeping his head up I mean just one of his double digit assists in this ball game a spectacular pass to drik Jones Jr and then we’re doing it again it’s defense causing offense and UD has anyone ever scored in this situation better than Kyrie not at all he can do it settle for three point shots he’s been horrific in the first three games settling for a lot of outside jumpers his first seven buckets were at the rim and that’s what you wanted him to do he found that three-point shooting in the second half but when Batman has his Robin they are a different team cuz they both came to the party to play you and what does it say about a guy the criticism was everywhere he couldn’t avoid 1500 shots a day look a lot of it is Justified when you’re a great player a lot is expected when you don’t play up to your standards there’s going to be criticism what does it say to you about him that in that spot on the road he played that game I mean that’s his ultimate professional that he believes in himself and he puts the work in behind the scenes when you put the work in behind the scenes it doesn’t matter what anybody thinks it doesn’t matter how many shots you miss or you make you oh oh good good hands right good hands you you know you’re going to make shots at some point your teammates believe in you they’re finding you uh they’re setting screens for you to get open shots and critical moments he’s getting to the basket he scoring from all three levels he was himself last night yeah again it’s it’s it’s also shows you how much Anthony Edwards believes in him and trusts in him as well because he has been encouraging with him it’s a young player and for Colony towns this is still he hasn’t gone this deep yet into a playoff run this is a new experience for him too so all the criticism of him fading or him not coming up big when it matters most he’s got to learn through this as well you got to give him credit for staying confident but I also believe his teammates were staying confident in him winman you’re there obviously you’re there on the off days you’ve heard all the criticism you’ve seen it you know the players involved give us your thoughts on Carl Anthony towns and his performance last night yeah I spent some time talking to Carl’s dad Carl Senor last night and Carl after the game and I said what were these last 24 hours like where you’re just getting destroyed everywhere people are seizon on that 1500 shot thing and you know they said that they kept their good cheer You Know Carl spent uh what was it Monday night you know sort of laughing and joking having fun not worrying about the situation and really decided to come with a different mindset in this game which was an attack mindset okay his three-point shot wasn’t falling go to the basket and boy he did guys 13 drives in this game more drives than any other Playoff game in his career he didn’t take a three-pointer at all until halfway through the third quarter but once he loosened up the interior by driving they backed a little bit off him on the perimeter ended up hitting four threes down the stretch and obviously changed the direction of the series the reality is the defense worked yes yes the defense worked the adjustment putting Jaden daniiel on Kyrie we know how great Kyrie with the ball in his hands but you can somewhat eliminate that with length and athleticism with a guy like Jaden Daniels so I think that was the big difference if you look at it Lucas still had a triple double even though he wasn’t as efficient he still and he says the bar so high he still had a triple double but he wasn’t efficient but I think Kyrie being taken out of this game was the difference because of the closers the Stars the way they Co the game What’s the difference the last couple games and they were able to eliminate that well Kyrie came into this game averaging 28 points on 52% shooting okay he has 16 points on 33% shooting and also this team in Minnesota refused to settle y’all right refused to settle they’ve been averaging 37 threes shout out to himbo on this averaging 37 threes per game they only shot 24 in this game they shot 52s you play inside out instead of outside in that was one of the key factors and so I want to go back and Kyrie by the way last night 16 points on 18 shots so the defense definitively was a Factor last night as Wendy points out I remember after game one of the Eastern Conference Finals you used a term that I liked and and and then tyres halberton got hurt and that was sort of the end of that but you said Indiana’s live is Minnesota now with a win and headed home are they live in this series no I I I don’t think they’re live I mean I I think Dallas you’re crazy I’ll be crazy like like this series is not this Series has not been that far apart yes and you can make the argument that in the first three games Minnesota gave those games away they had a four quarter lead in every G I’m not asking you to make the argument I’m asking you to believe your argument are you telling me that come back from being down we saw last night was what I expected for a good six or seven games I did not expect this to be 3 nobody did Minnesota didn’t I don’t think Dallas did yeah I think Dallas was like damn we’re up 3 like they didn’t even expect this but they are but that doesn’t mean this series is over just because the history tells us nobody comes back from 3 somebody has to and if anybody’s going to it’s a team that is built on the way Minnesota has played this defense I’m going to say you Kyrie before the game was like yeah this is their Super Bowl this is just like another game for us so I think the mentality was at home like yeah that’s what Kyrie said literally I’m telling you no that’s what Kyrie said I think the mentality was more like well we got four more to close this out I think you’ll see a different Dallas team next time around cap okay Mone on it you got to close Mone I’m with it how much I’m with it I don’t know how much I’m retired I’m retired I got it like I used to which part of that is Cap the cap about Kyrie saying that um oh this is a Super Bowl and it’s just another game or whatever you said he said hell no you want to win that game you want to close out you do not want to give a team another opportunity especially when it’s that close of margin down the stretch and you have guys like cat and ant who haven’t outplayed the guys who they’re very capable how they outplayed them once you give these young guys confidence you give these Thunder Cats some confidence now going back home you where where I think that I think Dallas is in a little more trouble than they want to admit there’s three games left in the series yes and I’m not saying the series is over but they’re in what trouble do they want to admit three games left where are two of them oh Minnesota UHA uh that’s the point uh and let’s illustrate just how close these games have been through the first four games of this series the total margin of Victory is 18 combined points this is the first Conference Final with each of the first four games being decided by single digits in 13 years so I mean it’s just that close and they are going home do you I I I I just trust I don’t ask us do we believe do you believe what you I do I believe I I still believe the series I still believe Dallas going to be in a championship game I still believe I have more trust in luuka and Kyrie down the stretch to execute more so than I have a Min here’s what I would bet here’s what I would bet you I would bet you a whole bunch of ud’s money that there will be a game six in this series that Dallas Dallas will go home having to to to to that you know when you’re up three nothing look you saw it last year you lived it last year up three nothing and then Boston wins a game and then suddenly they win another game and now the pressure starts to I think I think we will find ourselves there this weekend what happens at that point I don’t know the stars have just shined brighter for Dallas now the SH now it has shifted the Stars finally shined brighter for Minnesota last night what happens next what is going to be the adjustment all all I’m saying is do you have Dallas winning this series uh no I mean no no no wait wait wait do you have Dallas winning the series do you have Dallas win do you have Dallas winning the series I had them in grny do you have Dallas so the serious is over thank you that’s my point the Ser is over okay I tell you what I tell you what if it if it goes to game six if it goes to game six I’m go with Minnesota okay now we’re if they get if
