the finals and doing other things and going on vacations and launching new podcasts so I’m here alone and we’re going to play a little Riff on the game mid-level Madness if you’re not familiar with this game uh in recent Seasons or offseasons past I have put a bunch of names that the Raptors could in theory Target with their midlevel exception into a hat or a bucket or some kind of vessel and we just pull them out willy-nilly and talk on the Fly about those guys for uh 90 seconds three minutes whatever it is uh and we’re going to do that exactly that same exercise today when it comes to Wings the Raptors may be able to Target this off season via free agency via trade via all different Avenues of player acquisition we’re not going to talk about prospects we’ll save that for the prospects episodes we’ve been rolling out go check those out if you haven’t seen them all we’ve got a lot of them lately but yeah we’re going to just line it up I’m going to give myself three minutes on the clock for each of these guys and we’re going to Rattle through as many wings as possible we will not get through all of them today we got lots of submissions in the Discord for guys who should be thrown into the magical bucket full of wing names here and we’re just gonna dive on in and start talking and so let’s get it going I got the clock lined up the duck timer is going to go off in three minutes let’s start by pulling out the first name and that is this is convenient I didn’t actually put this in uh I didn’t this is not rigged but it’s Andrew Wiggins the first guy we’re going to talk about today and I think that is a prettyy perfect place to start Andrew Wiggins a topic of conversation yesterday on Raptor’s internet look we don’t gotta do this we really don’t gotta do this Andrew Wiggins was fantastic for the championship winning Warriors back in 2022 he does a lot of interesting things at his Peak sort of optimized version of himself he just has not been that player for a couple years now and out of 10 years in the NBA he’s B basically played one and a half to two seasons of winning basketball he’s signed for three more seasons I should have said some the criteria we’re going to go through for these guys we’re going to go through the situation for their for the player whether they’re free agent trade candidate Etc whether they fit on the team whether they’re actually a wing which some of the players in here the people submitted not wings at all but that’s fun we can roast them um and we’ll get into how realistic it might be before a rating of one to 10 I wasted time talking about Wiggins getting into the criteria because I’m a bad host but anyway Andrew Wiggins uh to me I I just think this is a non-starter for me I know he’s got the passport that Everyone likes I know he has had moments of being a good player and I know the optimized version of Andrew Wiggins is kind of a perfect player for this Raptor’s team to slot in at the three you slide RJ Barrett to the two you have a you know in theory a prime wi Defender you can throw against the best team the other team’s best players but I just don’t think Andrew Wiggins is that player anymore he was supplanted this season by all of the young guys on the Warriors at various times Moses Moody Brandon pky Jonathan kaminga all of them were sort of higher in Steve Kerr’s favor than Andrew Wiggins and Steve Kerr is notably a guy who like mostly hates young players and so I I think we just have to go with the last couple years and just kind of say like Wiggins is not the guy he was when the Warriors won the title and at three more years on his contract at a pretty substantial capit of 24 million sorry $26 million next year $28 million a year after that and a $30 million player option for 2627 you’re basically locking yourself into your team if you go and acquire Andrew Wiggins yeah the cost to acquire is probably pretty low because the Warriors everyone knows they’re trying to offload money to get under the luxury tax get under the second apron save some money there and so they’re going to be desperate to Huck Wiggins off but that should tell you something that if they’re like we just got to get rid of this guy maybe that’s not someone you should be lining up to spend valuable assets on and maybe it doesn’t cost valuable assets maybe they even attach assets but I think the downside of him not being the player he was a couple years ago ever again is just too much to risk and to sort of lock yourself into a pretty expensive team at a time where this is sort of the last window to really add a core piece to this group before it gets expensive and the duck alarm is going off that is Andrew Wiggins scale one to 10 for me it’s like a hard two yeah like a two I think uh if we’re rating on the scale of wings from uh unbred unseasoned cafeteria Wings to uh my favorite Wings grilled hot wings from Hurricane’s Bar in Toronto uh that’s the scale that’s number 10 we’re going to a two it’s very close to cafeteria wings for me with inre wiggin let’s get one more in here before we get to a break next guy we got on tap here Caleb Martin three minutes on the clock Caleb Martin of course from the Miami Heat uh has been kind of a playoff St mostly just against the Boston Celtics in the playoffs and kind of absent in a lot of other Playoff series of late for the heat um you know you go back to his season this year he’s a unrestricted free agent so the Raptors can just go and sign him maybe he’s a mid-level exception candidate maybe he’s someone that requires a bit of cap space to go ins sign and of course the Raptors have the cap space Avenue available to them if they want to take it that would require not bringing back Gary Trent Jr declining Bruce Brown’s options we’ve been over this a million times but if they want to go to cap space route Caleb Martin is you know one of the better Wings on the free agent Market which should tell you something about the free agent Market this past season 10 points a game four and a half boards two assists uh you know 1.2 stocks per game shot 35% from Deep right around his career average um he’s kind of gone all over the place in his career was low as 25% back in his second charlot season back in 2020 21 um you know he’s been 41% for one season with the beat in 2122 but for the most part it’s been a pretty rough go for Caleb Martin as like a reliable three-point shooter average fine you know there’s nothing wrong with him as a shooter um but he’s not someone I think teams are really lining up to go and you know sort of close out on hard and make it you know just sort of warp their defense he’s someone that they’re okay with taking wideopen threes which I don’t think really checks the box of needing someone who offers space within this Raptor team quick Le three-point shooting is kind of the only sure thing in the Raptor starting five RJ Barrett I I think he can maintain a pretty above average level if he’s just on sort of stationary catch and shoots um we know that Scotty barnes’s three-point shot oscillated a lot last season and it’s probably going to net out to something like average without much pull-up juice I think they need a little bit more three-point dynamism from the wing and I don’t know if Caleb Martin offers that and frankly like I’m a little worried about Caleb Martin at 28 years old 29 next year signing a free agent deal with a team that is not the Heat that does not have the Eric bolstra magical pixie dust floating around the air in the arena and I’m a little worried Caleb Martin kind of goes the deari Carol route where it’s like oh interesting nice player on a pretty good team that you go and give a lot of money to and ask a lot more of and he just isn’t able to provide it I think this is one of those cases for me where some of the best free agent contracts are the ones you don’t sign and Caleb Martin to me feels like he could be at risk of being one of those types of guys I wouldn’t hate it I I think he would fill a need obviously and just like getting another Wing player on the team would be very nice I’m just not sure if he has the sort of um breakthrough potential at 28 years old sort of always being sort of a you know a fringey NBA player until he kind of hit with the heat um I’m not sure that the pedigree is there and the sort of upside is there to really make it worth it for me um you know you could just sign them that’s the easy thing it doesn’t cost assets but for me I think Caleb Martin as the buzzer goes off is probably like a four out of 10 on the wing scale for me uh as far as guys I’d like to see the Raptors go and Target this offseason we’ll come back on the other side get into some more guys uh as we dig into this bucket full of wings I wish I could tease who’s there but that’s the beauty of the game we have no idea it’s a magical bull full of mysteries and surprises we’ll get into it coming up in just one sec let’s continue on here with our bucket full of wings as uh you know we just kind of sort through a bunch of potential targets for the Raptors this summer and whether or not they are good Target or not let’s go next one up on the board here ha a big time UFA probably the best free agent arguably you know you could sort of I guess debate between him and Pascal seak at this point considering the age of this guy but Paul George three minutes on the clock of course we know Paul George LA Clippers uh part of the reason kawh Leonard left the Toronto Raptors and all that good stuff um he’s a free agent things seem weird with the Clippers all the reporting is that Paul George wants a Max contract in the Clippers are not exactly keen on giving him a Max contract and so there’s this little standoff look we should just say this one’s not happening Paul George is not coming to the Toronto Raptors for many reasons number one uh just like there are other teams out there with cap room who could in theory go sign him and uh you know give him a better shot at a title which I’m assuming if he’s leaving the Clippers that’s what he’s after as much as he would be a perfect fit in theory between RJ Barrett and Scotty Barnes at the 234 um I just don’t really see this one coming in coming to fruition for the Raptors and frankly he’s 34 years old right it’s going to be a pretty risky contract and I think it’s the kind of contract you only hand out if you are in title mode which a team like say the Philadelphia 76ers very much is going to be I could see a team like the Spurs being like hey you know why why not let’s go throw some money at Paul George it cost us nothing but cap space let’s bring him in as a supporting piece for WBY maybe we can go and be a serious hitter in the west a little sooner than we thought that’s a possibility my favorite potential Paul George landing spot is the Pacers um you know a little nice re reuniting of him with Indiana uh halberton SE yakum George that is incredible is that maybe the second best team in the Eastern Conference I think it just might be um you know maybe that’s sleeping on the Sixers a little bit in their capacity to add but you know if they don’t get Paul George they’re getting someone worse than Paul George probably and so um you know maybe that throws off the Sixers plans which would be a lovely thing as well a fun little subplot of Paul George going to the Indiana Pacers um you know the Raptors would have to open up a lot more cap space than they currently have to even make this possibility um and it’s probably not super feasible they can get to like 28 29 million bucks in cap space right now with the Bruce Brown and Gary Trent Jr wave bybys um but you would have to offload Chris bu’s contract for nothing in return um you know one of those trade for a guy whose European rights are owned by a team and you attach a pick or something like that um that’s tough right you don’t want to be attaching assets while you’re in the state that the Raptors are currently in um and so it just gets really tricky you’d have to probably offload even more salary to get to the full Max for Paul George um you know enough to lure him away from the Clippers and so I this one does not seem particularly realistic and doesn’t really check the boxes the Raptors need outside of just like the pure onc Court fit of the player every other thing doesn’t quite line up with where the Raptors are at so I will say pretty hard no on Paul George and it’s not that he’s not awesome and that it wouldn’t be cool to watch him play with Scotty Barnes and quickle and Barrett that team probably wins 50 plus games next season but the longer term implications of having a really expensive Paul George on the team while the rest of the team gets expensive you are pot committed to a 34 year old Paul George which is maybe not where you want to be where the Raptors are right now uh that is going to do it for Paul George the duck has gone off the duck has spoken we will continue and pull out another name from the bucket of wings who do we got this time [Laughter] my favorite one OG an anobi baby uh look similar to Paul George start the clock uh similar to Paul George probably not happening the Raptors would have to open up a lot more cap space than they currently have to go and take a run at bringing back their pal ogn anobi um he’s of course a free agent we know this he certainly fits the Toronto Raptors I don’t think there’s any question about that the irony of the OG trade being that the return for OG created a team that would be perfectly complemented Now by ogan anobi on the wings and look I’m still holding out like just like the tiniest little flicker of hope my NBA conspiracy brain is holding out just like a little glimmer of oh maybe this is happening of there being like a crazy long conon by the Raptors and ogan and Obi to own James Dolan and the Knicks of course last week we saw with the WNBA expansion vote the only team in either the WNBA or the NBA to vote against expansion to Toronto in the WNBA of course the petty as hell New York Knicks we love them don’t we we love how Petty and sad James Dolan is it’s the best um what would be better than that is uh convincing ogan anobi to come back to Toronto leaving the the Knicks scorned without much means to replace him with no cap space really to work with and uh assembling a quickly Barrett OG Barnes purle starting lineup That probably goes and wins 50 plus games next season just because it’s more or less a perfect basketball construction when you blend all those skills together this would be an absolute Delight it would also be like the funniest thing to ever happen in the NBA uh at least for the Raptors you know since trading Andre barani for a first round pick from the New York Knicks would be on the short list of funniest things front office dealings wise in recent NBA history I think a lot of people people would really enjoy it around the league Nicks fans would lose their minds but that’s fine Nicks fans loves to lose their minds anyway they’re like that’s not changing their day-to-day Behavior regardless and so yeah uh this one for me full 10 out of 10 if the Raptors can make this happen build the Statue of Messiah and Bobby together put OG in the Statue as well I don’t care it would be an absolute dream to see this go down it’s almost certainly not going to but again like if you have like a tiny little inkling of conspiracy Theory brain in you if you think maybe there’s this like this tiny little outside chance that some chicanery could be up with the Raptors and the Knicks with the lawsuit and all of the back and forth between Messi and James Dolan over the years Messi fleecing James Dolan maybe this is just his like his P to resistance the the last sort of H boss of owning James Dolan is trading ogan and Obi for James Dolan’s two young exciting players uh there’s a sort of best trade assets and then bringing OG back they could do it if offload Chris bu’s contract it would be worth attaching all of the picks to it to make it happen 10 out of 10 let’s do it let’s get OG back it’s not happening and the duck has spoken and now I’m sad because we don’t get to live in that fantasy where it’s happening ever again unless it happens come on let’s go uh all right one more let’s go before the break here oh one of the guys that was submitted last night when I asked for wings in the Raptors locked on Raptor Discord who is decidedly not a wing let’s talk about him Kell Johnson this is like getting a chicken nugget in your bucket of wings not a wing but Kell Johnson is reportedly available uh Kelvin Johnson of course 65 shooting guard uh from the San Antonio Spurs drafted fun trivia with the draft pick the Raptors traded to the Spurs in exchange for one kawhai Leonard and he seems to be on the outs with the San Antonio Spurs I I think to me that’s kind of the number one red flag he seems getable he’s on a pretty reasonable contract that pays him sort of yaka ptle level low-end starters money um in theory like the Spurs shouldn’t be in the business of just like giving up interesting young talent but maybe that suggests that they don’t really view Kellon Johnson as being quite interesting young Talent enough for them to want to sort of stay married to him going forward and look I get it he’s kind of a losing style of player it’s not my cup of tea when it comes to his sort of brand of basketball it’s a lot of gunning it’s a lot of commandeering the offense it’s a lot of sort of suspect playmaking um you know I I think there’s maybe some upside there with Kellin Johnson that hasn’t been tapped into but he’s been in the league for a while now he’s played Five Seasons and I kind of think he just is what he is and he’s probably just like a really nice bench player I think that is kind of where Kelvin Johnson’s NBA Destiny lies as being like a nice six-man and look if the Raptors were to not keep Gary Trent Jr and you wanted to bring Kellin Johnson in to kind of replace that Gary Trent Jr spot I could get on board with it I I think he’s probably just like an overall better player than Gary but I’m not sure I really want him starting and I think defensively you’re looking at a lot of the same issues as you have with Gary Trent Jr minus the sort of propensity to grab steals uh and so you know Gary Trent Jr at 15 million versus Kellin at 20 I think I would rather Gary Trent Jr obviously we have proof of concept that the Raptors starting five for a small sample albe it works pretty well with Gary Trent Jr as the fifth guy as the trigger man as the guy who’s the agent for spacing in there and so I wouldn’t be you know I’m not over the moon to like swap out Kellin Johnson for Gary Trent Jr I could see it if if Gary wants to go elsewhere Kellin being the sort of backup plan but again you got to trade for him and I don’t think the Spurs are just going to let him go for nothing right like he’s still a useful player on a you know cost controlled contract for for a few more years you know I think they’re going to want to get something for him and I just don’t know if that’s the right move for the Raptors I I suppose you could talk yourself into Bruce Brown for Kellin Johnson but honestly I kind of think Bruce Brown is a more helpful player to the Raptors next season and then then Kellin Johnson I know I’m in the minority thinking Bruce Brown is not terrible but he’s a connective piece I don’t really think Kellin Johnson is a connective type player and so for me if we’re going on the scale of one to 10 um on the wing scale it’s kind of like a one or two for me with kelin Johnson also he’s not a wing he doesn’t really address the core issues we’re talking about here the duck has spoken we will come back on the other side and round it out with three more wings from the bucket to close out the show thanks so much for hanging around we will wrap it up with uh again mystery we don’t know who is coming out that’s the reason to stick through there’s so many guys in here endless names we’ll see who comes out as we get into the last segment of the show all right rounding things Z here with your first listen of the day as always thank you so much for making that true on your end thank you for subscribing following rating etc etc you’re always the most appreciated people in the whole wide world of course later this week we’re going to have Jamar Hines on tomorrow’s show we’ll have some fun with him uh topic TBD but that’s always kind of the deal with me and Jamar we figure it out like the night before uh and then Friday uh hoping to have Maxwell bomach from No Ceilings to talk some draft stuff so you have that to look forward to on Friday’s episode but let’s uh get in here now we got three more Wings to pull out to end this show let’s get another one out of the bucket here and we have an interesting one from a team we’ve already talked about a little bit earlier Moses Moody Moses Moody from of course the Golden State Warriors 21 years old the clock has started I I have a hard time with Moses Moody I think there’s this sort of sense from just sort of the general onlooking public that the Warriors are like itching to move on from him because they have other young guys who are quote unquote better in kaminga psky Trace Jackson Davis my sort of response to that is like I I don’t know if the Warriors should be in the business of like moving on from young players just because they have some other good young players I I I think acquiring Moody would be pretty challenging I think maybe the one way you could acquire him is if he was attached to Andrew Wiggins as the asset to sweeten the pot to go and acquire Andrew Wiggins and I just that gets tricky for me because you’re going to have to pay Moses moody in a year Moses Moody is also like on the other side of it he’s kind of like the perfect guy to go and Target if you’re the Raptors he’s 21 he was someone I really liked in his draft year of course this was the Scotty Barnes draft year um I really liked Moody I was kind of intrigued by him if the Raptors were picking a little bit later than number four frankly when they had the number seven pick Moody was a guy I had circled as oh that would be kind of fun if the Raptors went for him just like a classic 3 and D guy and I do think that’s what he profiles to eventually be maybe the defensive stuff hasn’t been quite what you want from Moody I I I think at 21 with his physical dimensions he’s like what 67 68 he’s like a traditionally built three and D Wing I think there’s upside to tap into there I just think acquiring him feels a little bit unrealistic because you’re either attaching him to Wiggins in like a Bruce Brown trade or something like that where you’re taking back more money than you are sending out you’re maybe using your cap space maybe you don’t keep Gary Trent Jr in this case and you’re bringing in Wiggins and Moody sending out brown giving the Warriors some money relief while also sort of adding to your own books using your cap space to weaponize Via trade like that’s probably the move beyond that like are you just going to go trade a first round pick for Moses Moody I I don’t know if you should be doing that I I think um it’s still a gamble with Moses Moody it’s almost like a second draft sort of situation where you know I think he’s better than your typical guy who’s washed out through his first three four years but you do have to consider you got to pay him in a year he’s extension eligible this offseason um and look the thing with Moody is he’s at the right stage of his career where you know this sucks for him but guys who have not quite performed but have sort of upside to tap into on their first contracts tend to be underpaid on their second contracts and so there’s all the reason in the world to think okay like we can get mes Moses money for like a pretty reasonable second contract and then all of a sudden that’s a value but that’s a reason for the Warriors to keep Moses Moody as well I I would really like him I think on the scale of one to 10 he’s like a seven as far as like attractive targets for the Raptors but I just think it’s pretty unrealistic so that probably even knocks it down a little bit to like a six or a five because why consider it and I just don’t know if you can attach him to Andrew Wiggins and think you’re winning that deal I think the Wiggins thing I know people defend the Wiggins thing but I I just I think it’s such an albatross contract and a lot of downside potential so moody would love it but the duck has spoken and I I just don’t think it’s super realistic couple more let’s get into it next one here we have out of the box bucket that is is Royce O’Neal inter interesting one Royce O’Neal of course with the Phoenix Suns this past year the suns are uh I’ll start the clock the suns are extremely incentivized to keep Royce O’Neal because they don’t have the means to add to their team in any other way really because of how cash strapped they are and the second apron and everything they have to deal with and so I would imagine they’re going to try really hard to keep Royce O’Neal as a UFA you know O’Neal could be a pretty interesting mid-level Target I also think there could be something of a bidding war for his services among contenders because he’s the exact kind of like fifth or sixth best player that a contender could really use and I don’t know if his sort of size is quite what you need if you’re the Toronto Raptors I think the Raptors are in need of guys who are like six seven 68 69ine seven feet tall like they need beef they need tall dudes they need length and O’Neal plays bigger than his height because he’s got a pretty long wingspan and he can guard up a little bit but he’s like 6’4 right like I I think you want to be aiming a little bit bigger on the sort of positional spectrum and as opposed to someone who can kind kind of guard like one through three effectively I think three through five ideally is kind of what you’re going for here and so I don’t think it’s like a perfect fit a mid-level signing I think you could do a lot worse because I think Royce O’neal He is what you get what you sort of see with him right he’s just like a very nice competent role player who does a lot of things to inform winning basketball don’t think it would be a bad thing if he r on the Raptors but um I think because of how valuable his skill set is and because contenders out there um and you know not even contenders but just like teams that have cap space looking for competent role players like I can see the magic for example saying hey like Royce O’Neal could help us we’re kind of light on smaller sort of you know fringey guard Wing types like we’re very big we don’t have a lot of shooting maybe Royce O’Neal helps out in that department um you know maybe like the the Spurs are like let’s just get a competent vet in here who can kind of help this young team grow along or there are those other sort of contender types where if it’s just a midlevel exception off and everyone’s like hey Royce O’Neal here’s our mid-level exception on a platter I don’t know he’s going to look at the Raptor’s offering and say that’s the one for me he might start like if Gary Trent Jr walks which of course you know changes the Dynamics with the mid-level exception you need to have Gary and Bruce on the team for the mid-level to be available because you’ll be an over the cap team if you’re an under the cap team you’re just kind of using cap space and maybe you do that right maybe you say hey like we can offer Royce O’Neal 16 million bucks a year as opposed to the 13 that is the mid-level exception and maybe that gets him to say yes let’s go but I do think all things being equal he probably more of a guy who’s going to go to a contender go to a team that has the mid-level to offer he’d be really fun on Denver as like a Bruce Brown replacement type or something like that like I think there he’s just gonna have more sort of competitive options on the table and so I don’t think Royce O’Neal is really in the cards as a fit he’s probably a five or a six there’s nothing wrong with Royce O’Neal having Royce O’Neal in your team is a good thing um but I just don’t know if it’s like a perfect exact glove like Fit For What the Raptors really need from their wings and again I just think the realisticness of of attaining him probably pretty low because of the contender Market that’s going to be out there for him the duck has spoken we got one more guy to run through let’s pull him out we’ll see there’s plenty left over here so there’ll be more versions of this podcast format going forward as well and I’m glad we pulled this guy out because his name has been out there a little bit DeAndre hunter from the Atlanta Hawks of course uh 69 theoretical 3 and D Wing type who has just not really popped on the Atlanta Hawks throughout his career he’s had some moments here and there but for the most part it’s been kind of a disappointing ride for DeAndre Hunter as I start the clock a little bit late um he’s basically been like the same player for the last few seasons gets injured a lot you know he played no more than 67 games in any season in his career that’s a problem he’s played 57 this past season um it’s just you know it’s tough when a guy can’t stay on the floor I think uh you know his three-point shooting has always been okay it’s been maybe like a little bit less than it was branded branded to be although his last couple Seasons he’s been pretty solid 38% three years ago uh 35% a couple seasons ago in this past season 38 and a half percent which is great like you’ll take that all day a thing that really concerns me with uh DeAndre Hunter is the playmaking side of things the doing anything with the ball in his hand side of things a career one and a half assist to 1.4 turnover ratio on a proog game basis if you’re even turn over to assist guy and you’re not really being asked to do a whole lot with the ball in your hands anyway like that’s a red flag for me especially when you think about him in the context of a Raptor’s offense where everybody is being asked to make the next decision make the next play put the ball on the deck get the the the sort of Advantage snowballing over the course of a possession and I don’t think DeAndre Hunter really profiles as a dark or rakovich type player I also think his defense has been more theoretical than actually good in practice and look he’s playing on the Hawks it’s pretty tough to be a wing Defender uh sort of covered all of the sort of holes that are being plugged up or that need to be plugged up when Trey young is on your team but I I think it’s still like he’s not like this sort of brute forceful Wing Defender despite being a six foot n guy who I think was believed to be like a true lockdown guy coming out of college when he played at Virginia those teams held opponents to like 12 points a game and DeAndre Hunter was all over it I just I I think his defense is maybe not quite lived up to to the hype um he doesn’t acrew counting stats on defense just one stock per game over the course of his career it’s basically been the exact same you can pencil him in for seven blocks or point seven Steals and three blocks a game he’s not sort of making those big possession shifting plays where he’s getting the ball back for you as that sort of prime wi Defender look as like a backup option if all else fails if you can’t go and you know lure OG and anobi back if you can’t go and find yourself a Moses Moody type um sort of younger guy to bank on DeAndre hunter in like a Bruce brown type trade I I could see it I wouldn’t be opposed I’m not sure what the appetite would be for the Hawks in that end of things but with Hunter’s contract which is I think probably a slight negative value although is the league um as the sort of the the cap landscape changes and the the cap goes up and all that he probably ages into being a fine contract but he still has two more seasons sorry three more seasons 22 million bucks next season 23 the year after 2 five in 2627 again you’re kind of locking yourself in almost to this team if Hunter is on it with quickly getting expensive this summer Scotty getting expensive RJ already being pricey the duck has spoken um DeAndre Hunter one to 10 kind of like a five for me just I think that’s just the DeAndre Hunter experience five out of 10 all right sure whatever it’s DeAndre Hunter um and that is going to do it for today’s edition of uh bucket of wings is that what we’re calling this game I don’t know man wing night all you can eat wings uh whatever it is that’s going to do it for today but we got plenty left in the bucket for another day we will save those and get to them at some later date thank you so much for tuning in hope this was fun hope this was informative hope this was a useful exercise um but of course uh yeah we we’ll be back again tomorrow to continue on the offseason talk with our pal Jamar Hines from raptor Republic and TSN we’ll do some drafts up on Friday hopefully with Maxwell bombach from No Ceilings and we’ll send you off another weekend right in the meantime thank you so much thanks for rocking with us thanks for hanging out thanks for supporting the show in every way you do it’s much appreciated I have lost my basketball so I’m not going to be taking a shot on the rim today I was gonna miss anyway so whatever uh thanks follow subscribe rate review tell a friend etc etc always appreciate and we will talk to you again on Thursday with another episode of lockdown Raptors thanks for hanging bye bye
In Episode 1646, Sean Woodley goes solo to pull some names of potential Toronto Raptors wings targets out a bucket and offer quick 3-minute takes on whether or not they check the boxes the Raptors should be looking to check as they scour the league for upgrades on the wing this summer. Off the top, Sean kicks things off with an impassioned plea to just stop it with the Andrew Wiggins talk, and a lukewarm breakdown of Caleb Martin, who might be one of the most likely targets for the Raptors in unrestricted free agency. Next, Sean digs into a pair of very unrealistic offseason targets in Paul George and, yes, OG Anunoby, before discussing Moses Moody’s appeal as a potentially undervalued young piece on the Warriors who they might be able to swing a deal for before Golden State needs to contemplate a contract extension. Lastly, Sean digs into Keldon Johnson, who is not very wingy at all, and doesn’t really fit the bill as well as Royce O’Neale, who is probably contender-bound, and De’Andre Hunter, who could be a fine but uninspiring target with the Bruce Brown contract.

Honestly DeAndre Hunter intrigues me. Yes he’s very underwhelming but if we’re picking up Bruce Browns contract we could move Brown to the Hawks for Hunter and a future pick to sweeten the deal. Bring back GTJ, draft the best available player at 19 and 31 and see how Kolokos health is and see if he’d be willing to come back. I’d be looking to move off Chris Bouchers contract also.
Let’s develop and let this team come together.
Caleb over Wiggins you have lost your mind sean.. He is cheaper but Wiggins on this Raps Team would be lit. We want Andrew
