Houston Rockets Trading For Donovan Mitchell⁉️
yo what’s going on guys this Houston Sports Talk Back another the video today and today we’re going to be talking about the Houston Rockets potentially trading for Donovan Mitchell I’d love to see Donovan Mitchell and the rockets which it’s been reported the Rockets have interest in trading for Donovan Mitchell and packaging up the number three overall pick with other assets but I got to say you know I don’t see a way where Jaylen green is not involved in this trade and I and even if the Rockets found a way to you know keep Jaylen away from ad Donovan Mitchell tradeing you you traded for Donovan Mitchell you package up let’s see if Jaylen is not going to Cleveland I think the package would probably be pick number three Dylan Brooks uh possibly cam Whitmore which I don’t want to see so I mean let’s say let’s say J let’s say Tor een Dylan Brooks pick number three uh maybe two other first round picks and uh and then Jon Tate maybe I don’t think Cleveland does that but let’s say let’s say you’re able to figure out a trade for Donovan Mitchell without involving Jaylen green I don’t see Donovan Mitchell and Jaylen green working that well together um and you know I think size is a big thing Donan Mitchell what 6’3 Jaylen green is uh with 63 64 as well so it’d be a smaller lineup as well and you’d have one of those guys playing at the small forward position which um I think jaylen’s more likely to play at small four than Donovan is and jaylen’s definitely uh capable of playing the small forward position but Jaylin should definitely be playing the shooting guard position I don’t think you know I I don’t want to see the rocket straight jayen because I think I think for what he showed in the first half of the Season he definitely at times looked at you looked at him and you said where are we going with this guy because he is not looking good at all and honestly should we take our loss here and get rid of them um honestly I had that thought many times last season but at you know at the second half half of the Season he really showed a different you know he showed he showed a different self of him and he played a lot better he scored the basketball a lot better he was a lot more efficient and you know I feel like the way Jaylen played at in the season last year definitely got his trade value up I believe but at the same time I think he made it a lot more harder on the Rockets potentially trading him I think Donovan Mitchell is a great player but at the same time uh do you want to give up Jaylen green for him but this is not just Jaylen green you’re honestly talking about giving up the third overall pick I know this is a weak draft class but I see the guy that the Rockets have a lot of interest in Reed Shepard as a guy who I believe can be one of very few players who I think could be very successful in this draft class I think with his three-point shooting is definitely something the rockets need now do you P this is number three overall in jayen green enough for the Cavs to deal Donovan Mitchell I don’t think so I still think they’re going to want more assets uh you’re probably still looking at giving tar e Jan Tate and maybe another first round pick for Donovan Mitchell which I don’t find it worth it if it’s just Jaylen green and pick number three I think that’s potentially a deal the Rockets potentially should and I wouldn’t be mad if they did but the fact is is they’re going to have to give up more assets than Jaylen and pick number three to get Donovan Mitchell Donovan Mitchell is a great player he’s averaged 25 points per game in his career he averaged 27 points per game this past last season as an Allstar who wasn’t even that healthy averaged six assists per game in the playoffs he was fantastic he averaged 30 points per game and five rebounds per game with five assists per game and 10 games in the postseason uh F absolutely fantastic he’s a good three-point shooter which is something the Rockets definitely 100% need shooting 36% but I think there are other good three-point shooters that the Rockets can go out you know go out there and get don’t even have to give you know give up any anybody the the the one player that I loved hearing today that I would love the ETS add in Malik Beasley is someone I would love the Rockets to add in Malik Beasley is a guy who just shot 41% from three with the Bucks I think he’d be a great addition for this team I look at Reed Shepard number third overall he’s a great three-point shooter and would be a fantastic addition for this team I heard rumors about a potentially Luke Canard trade for the Rockets if you look at a Luke Canard trade for the Rockets you probably only have to give up jock landle or Jon Tate um one of those guys or both of those guys uh to land Luke Canard so Luke Canard is another guy who’s a really good three-point shooter guys like Luke Canard raid Shepard and uh Malik Beasley in my opinion you know obviously Donovan Mitchell is a better scorer than all three of those guys but all three of those guys are better you know are better um are better three are better three-point Shooters and most of those guys are better Defenders I can’t really speak on Luke Canard because I don’t I know him as a scorer and a three-point shooter that know he brings in great you know he brings in great three-point shooting and good scoring I don’t know about defensively but I know Reed Shepard and Milik Beasley are two guys who are good Defenders well donov Mitchell isn’t a terrible Defender but he’s not a great defender he’s not a he’s not even a good Defender he’s a bad Defender not an absolutely terrible Defender um now he’s a better Defender than Jaylen green Jaylen green and I think he improved his defense this past season I still see him as a poor Defender for the Rockets uh but you know donov Mitchell is not that much better than than uh Jaylen green so my point is is that you know you can go out there and get better three-point Shooters than Donovan Mitchell scoring is a different level Donovan Mitchell’s a great scorer I believe he’s a better scorer than Jaylen green he’s he’s a better scorer than the three other guys that you can add in that I mentioned in Luke Canard uh Reed Shepard or Malik Beasley he’s 100% a better scorer than all four of the guys that you could have Jaylen green Malik Beasley who you could sign Reed Shepard you could draft and Luke Canard you could trade for he’s a b better scorer than every every one of those guys he’s a better scorer than anybody on this Rockets roster but with not a lot of time left on his contract and injuries being a problem for him you know this past season uh in the last couple Seasons really last four seasons uh injuries have been a problem um only played 55 games this year only played 68 last year 67 in the 2122 season uh 2021 season 53 but that was a 60 what 60 there was a 72 Game season so he missed 19 games so injuries have not been you know injuries have not been great for Donovan Mitchell now while you look at a guy like Jaylen green Jaylen green sometimes he’ll play the worst basketball his life and look like a horrendous player and you’ll think to yourself okay why do we select this guy number two overall but he goes out there every night he plays every night Jaylen green played every single game for the Rockets this season Jaylen green has not missed a lot of time I remember he missed a stretch of games for the rockets in his rookie season but I don’t think he’s missed much time since then no he played 82 games this season his third year he only missed six games playing 76 games he played 67 in the 2122 season that was just because he missed a stretch of games got hurt the day before Thanksgiving uh in his rookie year Jaylen even though there are times he makes you think oh my God why did we draft this guy he goes out there every single night and plays now with Donovan Mitchell you really can’t say the same because he has had his injury problems uh he had injury problems in the regular season he got hurt in the postseason and missed the final two games for the Cavaliers against the Celtics the Rockets couldn’t afford to lose a guy like Donovan Mitchell in the postseason it you know let’s say the Rockets trade for Donovan Mitchell they are going to become a postseason team they will find themselves in the postseason with Donovan Mitchell and alpron sengun Jabari Smith Jr Dylan Brooks and Fred vley and whoever they have coming off the bench they will be in the postseason what do you do if Donovan Mitchell gets hurt I’m going to say it you’re screwed you’re you’re you’re effed um and it just they they’ just be the same way the Cavaliers were uh when they lost Donovan Mitchell uh I think the Cavaliers have a a lot better team right now that with you know Darius scarland and Evan Mobley and Jared Allen if they were to be without Donovan Mitchell then the Rockets do with Fred Van Ved and ALR andon and Javari Smith Jr um although the Rockets do have a really nice young team but I think with if you lose Donan Mitchell in a postseason or in just the regular season you’re screwed uh I don’t think it’s like it’s not like season over without Donovan Mitchell but I mean the Rockets would be if they traded for Donovan Mitchell and injury problems happen that’s just that’s another reason why the Rockets shouldn’t trade for Donan Mitchell I wouldn’t mind it like I said if it’s Jaylen green and number three overall I wouldn’t be mad at it but you’re going to have to give up more for Donovan Mitchell I don’t think that’s worth it let her thoughts and peace out out go Rockets
