Why you shouldn’t clown Boston Celtics for dominant NBA Finals run | Draymond Green Show

welcome to the brand new Draymond Green Show YouTube channel hit subscribe so you don’t miss out on any of our content the Celtics sweep the Pacers another comeback win uh three out of the four wins were comeback wins um what do I make of this I don’t make much of it outside of like Boston knew they could beat them they toy around toy around toy around get to the end all right here we go they knew they could beat that team especially once H bird went out now game one Jaylen Brown hit the shot Indiana should have won that one but all the other games Boston knew like we’re fine just hang around close it out at the end and they did exactly that um congratulations to Jaylen Brown winning the Larry Bird um Eastern Conference MVP trophy uh welld deserved thought he played great I thought it also could have went to JT however not upset at all about seeing jayen get that award thought it was great for him him and JT combined for 55 points yesterday and I thought they had a good showing uh I do think if you know you know congrats to them on getting back to the NBA finals I do think if they match up with Dallas or Minnesota but I don’t think Minnesota’s going on I think that will cause some problems and we’ll get into that later more when it matters uh but Gotta Give Andrew NIMH hard a lot of credit and I spoke about NIMH hard on the Pod before uh NIMH hard man dude is a soldier like small got that chip on his shoulder like walk around with his like he got little man syndrome uh but his demeanor he carries picks up 94t like you got to love it especially at that size I always tell guards that size you come into to this league if you want to stay in this league and you that size you better go pick up 94 ft do that mean you taking the ball from a guy no brother this is the NBA the likelihood of you taking the ball from an NBA point guard is very low but you just got to work them turn them a couple times take a little bit of time off the shot clock that’s what small guards have to do in this league and Andrew Nimar does that uh he plays with that chip on the shoulder like I said um what he’s showing me is his ability to score the bask bball you know I knew he could shoot the three decent I knew he could get to the hole at you know straight line I didn’t know he can get in his back and pull up mid he get stop and get to the cup I didn’t’t know he had all that uh but he continues to show more and more and it’ll be interesting um you know as his contract continues to play out over these next couple years how teams will view him uh what will his progress be over the summer how does he come back next year uh because I think he can possibly one day put himself in a position to to get a shot at being a lead guard in this league you know we saw Monte Morris get that shot recently in Washington we saw tyus Jones get that shot recently in Washington now you know some would say like I don’t know if Rashon was the right place for them to take that opportunity when you get an opportunity at a starting rooll in the NBA I don’t care where it’s at brother you take it um and so I think NIMH har will get an opportunity at some point or another especially if he continues to play the way he playing I I told you I like Nim hard I like his demeanor I like his game his game continues to grow on me because he he continues to show more and more and when a guy continues to show more and more like that when a guy go out I have even more respect for him because that means you know like oh I got to play this role and I’m take a back seat and play my role and I respect that cuz so many guys come in this league and can’t figure out how to play a role and it cost them they think they supposed to be Superstars and it cost I think that was actually one of the things that was hurting um cam Thomas and Brooklyn when Kyrie and K was there he get some games where you like oh man he went off and then he wouldn’t play a bunch right and I think that was in large part Duty because he would never really find a roll outside of just scoring the basketball and if you don’t in this league it’s hard man CU very seldomly as a team just going to let you go out there and score now he’s in Brooklyn they got rid of all their guys and so he gets the chance to do that now but say if you get traded the likelihood of a team just like oh you we going to give you the ball and you go score it’s slim and so you have to do other things and I think NIMH har is mastering that uh and and like I said to watch him these last couple games take on an even bigger role and show what he’s capable of against a great Boston Celtics defense to all NBA Defenders You Gotta Give You Gotta Give Nim hardest credit I like his game and he continues to grow Celtics makes it to the finals with only two losses and everyone is saying that road isn’t tough enough now if I’m honest I don’t ever think the East is that tough but I’ve also made it to an NBA finals and lost one game along the way zero games along the way maybe lost one in the finals let’s see the year was 2017 you want to guess you want me to tell you and if I’m not mistaken we lost one game in the finals three straight sweeps and then up three 0 yep I remember that and no one will say oh man they Road wasn’t Tough Enough so don’t give me the Boston Celtics Road isn’t Tough Enough um they haven’t been battle tested all of that whether they get to this NBA finals and win or lose will not be because they haven’t been battle tested let me tell you that okay you don’t get to the NBA finals and at some point throughout the year you ain’t been battle tested don’t happen won’t happen ain’t happening this time congratulate them on their run whoever you’ve placed in front of them they beat down they let a couple games get away that I actually don’t think they should have let get away nonetheless they’re in the NBA Finals with two losses and as I said we’ll get into that later we 1. No one was saying your road wasn't tough enough, everyone was saying the team you built was too broken. No one had a chance to beat you cuz of KD's decision

  2. JT led the team in points rebounds and assists BUT I was glad JB finally won something because as he put it " I don't win shit"

  3. Preach man, Boston has a legitimate shot to finally win with the jays – my issue is with the sports management incompetence in the east, but that’s been true since 2010s

  4. I’m not even a Boston fan but I realized the only ppl who’s speaking bad on them is the ppl whose teams didn’t make playoffs or not in it anymore😂😂😂 the wolves fans are not even real ppl, I’ve never ran into a wolves fan in my life 💀

  5. The same pressure they giving Tatum to win a chip I hope the give luka ,Chris Paul ,paul George ,James harden ,booker ,embid , butler

  6. Nobody clowning them me no we just saying win it it’s one thing bout kd warriors it comes off like damn this not fair nobody saying that with the Celtics we saying damn when the first one coming that’s like yall as the warriors always getting there especially with the warriors when you had kd then you don’t win but then we saying aye them warriors now they tuff go win it that’s all anybody is coming from in my opinion when it comes to the Celtics so nobody hating on them for making it there actually like jt and nem as people and players so it’s not saying they can’t and they won’t look how many times they been there and fuck around and be right back in the years to come but when will they do it that’s what being said that what it is and the difference is when everybody said everybody hurt y’all first ring that was yall first ring and yall won Boston been there a couple times and we saying this their best group so hypothetically speaking if they lose and this their best team and they have the experience of being there and plus stars was hurt on top of that it’s not a good look not hate but something can’t ignore

  7. Why isn’t this show called the Draymond Blue show? He wore that blue jersey for 4 championships straight.

  8. Rarely do I agree with Draymond, but he’s spot on with his take on what my C’s going through rn

  9. The Celtics went 10-6 against the top 8 seed in the West.

The Mavs went 7-9 against the top 8 seed in the weak East.

    Edit: corrected

  10. Will never listen to this podcast again. Uses C’s as clickbait then strokes off Andrew Nembhard the whole time 😂👌

  11. Nembhard isn’t that short. He was 6’5” in college. He’s 6’4.5”. In shoes. 6’3” without shoes. Draymond is 6’5.76” without shoes. A couple inches or so. But for some reason people seem to think of Drew as like a 6’0” player

  12. dray you were on TNT like a week ago talking about this doesn’t many anything unless they win the championship 😂

  13. Draymond boutta say every team out west will beat the Celtics because he’s a biased clown still living in 2022 talking about the J’s have no left hand 😂 The Draymond Clown Show 🤡 ready to hear a lot of player bias. People are gonna be so mad with this championship

  14. The Celtics are in a situation where if they win they had it easy and if the lose they shouldn’t be losing . This is the most disrespected great teams that I’ve seen and it has to stop . Celtics need to be praised for the great job they have done this season and post season.
