ESPN GETS CAUGHT LYING About Jayson Tatum

ESPN GETS CAUGHT LYING About Jayson Tatum

we are less than two weeks away from the start of the NBA finals and right now the Boston Celtics are back on the biggest stage for the second time in three seasons now unlike 2022 this Celtics team them making the finals wasn’t a lot of fanfare a lot of Celebration because honestly they were expected to do this and more so where does that put us the Boston Celtics they won 64 games entered the playoffs went 12-2 vers the East who is really really completed there’s not many narratives you can build or create off a team that’s been this dominant for the entire season so what happens with ESPN nowadays they just start making up stuff Tatum somehow doesn’t like brown he’s jealous they’re pin these two superstars against each other a lot of chatter online yesterday to whatever degree this is important and relevant about Jason Tatum’s reaction when Jaylen Brown wins that award in the moment that it happens the the the rest of the team just goes crazy and you were you were talking about it in our meeting earlier this morning they all were so genuinely look at them they’re all so genuinely excited for him and you what you did not seem to think that it was mirrored in Jason tat I get it ESP pins the bottom of the barrel for sports coverage but this right here is like Middle School Girl level stuff this right here isn’t even basketball isn’t even Sports analysis it’s just a glorified TMZ and the funny thing is Tatum they highlight his face and he’s clearly happy for Jaylen and celebrating him when the East MVP so you’re not going to Gaslight me in real time when Tatum is clearly happy for him and say he’s not and he’s jealous of brown and here’s the worst thing of all Jaylen and Jason collectively combined for 60 points per game in this year’s Conference Finals one of only a handful of Duos to ever do this in league history if this was any other tandem 10 years ago 5 years ago heck even 30 years ago we wouldn’t be talking about if they can play together they can compliment each other we’d be boosting them up and praising them for their great play on both ends of the court but for some odd reason with Tav and brown we got to gas like the audience these guys don’t like each other and are somehow jealous of each other’s success and if you followed Boston for a long time in the Jason jayen era really the media since 2020 have been trying to break these two guys up at every single turn I mean back in 21 when Boston was a 500 team the roster was in shambles people are demanding this Duo get broken up on the spot and even last year after game seven versus the Heat when they lost at home people were saying split this Duo up they won’t work and they won’t be successful going forward slick here’s my first thought thought about this this morning for a long time you have to break up the duo of Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown so you think it’s time to blow up the Jays why it is because they look it’s not a lot of high fiving it’s not a lot of chest bumping when one is having success the other one is not and that’s how it is so as bad as we all would like to see it work they can’t coexist to me that’s ultimately what the Boston Celtics are missing they have tremendous talent and you have these two all NBA players one of them has to go the fundamental idea of breaking up two players who haven’t even hit 30 yet or multiple time Allstars that in itself is an idiotic premise and look you guys know this the NBA it’s a talent league and a superstar driven league and whether you think Tatum’s a top 10 player top five player or jayen a top 20 or 25 player these two guys undoubtedly are very talented players guys like Tatum and Jaylen they don’t grow on trees and the fact that they’re both Celtics draft picks they they are born bred in Boston breaking these two guys up should never be on the table and luckily for Celtics fans Brad Stevens did the exact opposite after last year’s game seven as he flipped Marcus Smart Rob Williams and Grant Williams for Drew holiday and christops porzingis if Boston wins the championship this season which I think they will do the Drew Holiday trade porzingis trade it’ll go down in Celtics lore as two the biggest robberies in franchise history now looking back at the current Celtics team one of the biggest Nares about them is they aren’t clutch and good in late game situations and look to be fair to some people Celtics teams in the past very ISO heavy late in games got terrible shots and there wasn’t a ton of ball movement but that was Boston in the past the 2022 Celtics even last year in 2023 late in games they weren’t great but seeing someone like Charles Barkley after game three East finals say Boston still was bad in late game situations I just I don’t buy that they the worst offense I’ve seen for grown folks this like like it’s like they it’s like they just get a ball to one guy and go oneon-one they win a lot of games because they got talent but there’s it’s like like what are they doing it’s like here Jason you get to the top of the key go one-on-one shoot a step back three Jaylen you go back there you make a move everybody just stands around it’s frustrating Boston concerns me because it’s too much oneon-one UD it’s not JB and JT feeding off of each other it’s your turn my turn your turn my turn okay and look I don’t want to toot my own horn but for the Boston Celtics I’ve watched about every game for the past five seasons this year’s Celtics team is drastically better than last year’s team and infinitely better than the 2022 team and when it comes to late game play Closing moments this Celtics team has infinitely more options as of course Derek white can hit big shots and then Drew holiday is a veteran NBA champion comes a big on defense and offense and they add porzingis for the finals just another added weapon to the Arsenal for Boston late in games and looking at the actual numbers the facts and the data the 23 Celtics in clutch games in the playoffs compared to this year’s team it’s night and day Boston in 23 ranked ninth in scoring 10th in tring percentage sixth in assist ninth in plus minus and eigh in defensive rating this year’s team first in points per game fourth and two shooting percentage first in assist first in plus minus and second in offensive rating like I said seconds ago this year Celtic team in the clutch isn’t comparable to last year’s team and one thing fans might say is that well this team’s competition it was weak and really they weren’t tested which I guess is a fair statement is a true statement but at the same time you got a play who’s in front of you and looking at Boston in the East final specifically when they were tested they responded every single time look at game one for example Jaylen Brown the clutch shot in the corner Tatum also game one had 10 points in overtime including a clutch three-pointer game three in Indie the pace in the fourth quarter shot 38% Jason Tatum a big time clutch three and a pass to Horford the corner for another three-pointer and of course Drew holiday the an1 layup and the steal on nart and staying on game three for one second Barkley after this game like you saw said Boston’s fourth quarter offense was too ISO heavy too much dribbling and guys standing around and watching and I watched this game in real time I rewatched it after these comments and I just I don’t see that looking at the game film and the actual product in front of me doing to keep the Pacers for falling down 03 round throws it to Horford D white back to Horford the C on him Horford toage I think what Barkley stuck on is the Celtics teams in Year’s pass because this team late in games they move the ball and isn’t stagnant or ISO heavy and that right there is what make Boston so special in numerous games different players stepped up made crucial plays on both ends game one it was Jaylen the fourth quarter Tatum and overtime game three a combination of Jaylen Tatum and especially Drew holiday and then in game four really a whole team effort would Derek white hit in the dagger if you put the 22 Celtics to 23 Celtics in all three those ball games I’d say for sure they dropped one game and probably two but this year’s team something’s different about them they resilient they have that attitude the calluses of past playoff failures and one last thing I do want to touch on this Celtics team being so dominant all season long their losses their wins they get nitpick and scrutinized within any squad in the NBA and really in recent history and the games they’ lost in this year’s postseason what’s the two common themes Miami in game two versus Boston in the second half they made 10 three-pointers Cleveland in game two the exact same thing 10 threes in the second half and looking at both Drew holiday and Derek white awful shooting games in both those matchups as Drew was 6- 19 and Derek was 7- 19 The Only Way Boston blows this Championship if teams get hot from three and guys like Derek Drew and possibly porzingis don’t show up and if you want to talk the most probable outcomes of the ambay finals look Dallas is talented Minnesota’s talented but Boston’s team on offense and defense the most versatile team I’ve seen in recent years as Derek Drew Tatum porzingis Brown can all go for 20 points or more on any given night and really all their players except for Horford and porzingis can switch one through five and any pick and roll the odds of a team out of the West being the Celtic Squad four times in seven games I just I don’t see it could Boston choke could I get proven wrong hey crazier things have happened but if I had to bet on at Boston they’re not going to lose four times in seven games and they’re gon be your champions for the 2024 season so as always thank you guys for watching hope you enjoyed it out next time [Music]

2 more weeks. Hope you enjoy.

  1. great video my dude! espn has always been a joke so I don't really follow their coverage, however I used to really listen to Barkley's analysis and I used to think he was pretty solid. he has been really off with his celtics comments and you're right, he's stuck on the past celtics teams. I think overall all these "analysts" are bored of the celtics bcos this year there's no drama and we've been flat out dominant and no one else has been close, so they either just make things up (espn) or just say the same inaccurate shit over and over (tnt).

  2. Only analyst on espn or in the media period that I ever see say anything intelligent about Boston and the 2 Js is Legler

  3. What's really insane is Celtics management literally went to Tatum and directly asked him if he wanted to play with Brown before they resigned Brown. Tatum is the one who said yes to that. So yeah, the two aren't only teammates, they are literal friends outside the court, hanging out beyond basketball. Sports pundits are ridiculous.

  4. The media just want to create chaos. And dont look at facts they show bias comments and ideas..

  5. ESPN has been doing this for years to the Celtics. They literally warned teams to not trade with Boston after the Kyrie Irving trade and then proceeded to tear down Irving and Hayward for not winning every game they played.

  6. I would generally agree with you about the sports media, but not in this case. Tatum is a selfish glory hound who was clearly upset about this. Watch his interviews directly following that celebration, he was miserable! Tatum needs the glory and stats, winning comes last. This is why he picks the worst of the opposing teams starting five to guard consistently, then he plays off of that player and sits under the basket to pad his rebounding stats. It's why he always puts up significant points in garbage time, and always desperately seeks the ball when the other team needs to foul. He cares so much about his appearance and his statistics, he is not a winner, he just happens to be on a winning team. You clearly are a Tatum fan who is attenpting to deflect this fact, but it's a fact nonetheless.

  7. there is only ONE way to fight this… tatum needs to destroy this or and BOTH need to fix this… if they dont then its ON THEM. do they want to be the OKC of now… or do they want to be different… its up to them

  8. If all teams in the playoffs were healthy, very few ppl would have put money on the opposing teams to beat the Celtics in a series, ppl need to stop the BS

  9. I dont think these talking heads on tv even watch the games! When Charles tried to say it's my turn, your turn in game 3 didn't happen!

  10. Imagine having the the biggest smile possible jumping up and down clapping and being called jealous. 🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️

  11. The Celtics , specifically Tatum and brown , are punished for over achieving early and consistently winning in the face of adversity. They’ve had to deal with roster building disasters like Kyrie, Hayward, Kemba as well as injuries to their supporting cast but have consistently gone deep in the playoffs . They have already put up playoff counting stats that are HOF level by the time they each enter into their prime. They haven’t been able to carry the Celtics to a title in their early twenties , not many NBA greats have . They’re not completely undeserving of criticism , losing to the heat last year was a failure , they were up 2-1 in the finals but it was against the best team of this century albeit past/tailend of their prime . The Jays are both young, super athletic , superstars that play every facet of the game well and above all are team / winning focused. In a vacuum you can talk up other players in comparison to either Tatum or brown individually but I think the effect they each have on winning is higher than what their numbers alone would say. Keep the Jays together and the Celtics will have a chance to raise a banner every year they are both healthy.

  12. The way ppl judge you in real time nowadays is crazy , I remember feeling this way when they highlighted Kareem’s face when bron passed him . Saying he was mad 😂😂 . If you had something for that long and then watch it vanish in real time , that’s a lot of “thoughts” INCLUDING congrats for bron .

Correlation : I’m sure Tatum was super happy for JB . But in REAL TIME you’re probably wanting to hear your name right ? Ofc 🤦🏾‍♂️

  13. The thing about the assist and our offense Iv said for two years now 😂.

How in the he’ll are we a top team in assist and overall offensive numbers and then the media says “ they don’t pass” ☠️ . We almost have 3 if not 4 players a night with 5 assist . What are they watching besides a late shot clock iso which is actually good basketball when YOU HAVE ISOLATION guys

  14. Fck ESPN. Its so sad. This is the media in the present time. If they dont like you they make all the shit up to destroy your character.

  15. If the Celtics lose this series, and Tatum starts having games that look like 12/26 FG 2/8 3PT
I dont EVER wanna hear people calling Tatum a top 10 player again. If you’re still an efficient shot chucker on a team this stacked, it’s an ego problem that likely can’t be fixed. Great players know when to shoot, and when to stop shooting. We just saw ANT & KAT lose a series for their team by refusing to stop shot chucking. Would hate to see Tatum ruin things for this team, like he did for them in the 2022 finals. If Porzingis isn’t 100% healthy, Boston needs Tatum to be efficient.

  16. I think the only reason theyre pushing this narrative is bc Tatum had his headdown during his on the court post game interview, but i think he was just letting it sink in that they were about to be back in the finals.
