Article about Lebron

http://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/lebron-james-free-agency-what-kind-of-contract-can-lakers-star-sign-and-which-teams-may-be-interested/

I might be misreading: I didn't realize that the Lakers can only give him a 5% increase, as opposed to an 8% increase from other teams. He also can't sign officially until mid-August, if I'm reading that correctly. 1+1 to the Sixers.

If lebron wants to play here, and I would love to have him, he needs to take a Tom Brady discount. We can’t pay him 50 million. He needs to take 20 or less so the team can build a winning roster.

  2. Bron would be the perfect compliment to Maxey and Embiid and they would be what he really needs

He can take over games when needed, be the glue passer, playmaker, scorer with high bball IQ and not overload Maxey.

Sixers can offer high level guard and dominate center that Bron does not need to be the #1, every minute of every game. He can be the third option.

Honestly as a third option is scarey LeBron or Maxey is scarey and will give Joel plenty of spacing.

Plus who is better compliment: Austin Reeves, DLo, Anthony Davis or Maxey, Embiid and another player the sixers can sign?

I’m seeing the opposite conclusion. The Lakers can give him 8% raises while other teams would be 5% in Free Agency. However, the most money is opting in to his player option and extending with the Lakers or into a sign and trade.
