The Curry disrespect is getting out of hand

First I see people saying that if Kyrie and Steph were swapped the Warriors would still have 4 rings and then I see this. Kyrie is an elite player and one of the best of this generation, but its obvious that he’s a second option for a contender. Kyrie isn’t winning us the chip against Boston, I don’t even know if we would make the finals in 2022 if we had Kyrie instead of Steph. Kyrie is a great player but he’s not a top 5-10 player like Steph.

If you want to contend, Kyrie is the ideal number 2 option to have. On the other hand, Steph is THE ENTIRE SYSTEM of a contending team.

Anyways, I hope Steph silences everyone next season.

Tmac can have an opinion to not have Steph in his top 10, I’m okay with that, but his reason is just so stupid.

The same standard would have Lebron outside the top ten but we all know Steph doubt isn’t based in anything tangible or consistent

It’s just bitterness because a lot of more physically gifted but worse basketball players see a small guy and think they could’ve done it. When in truth, no one can do what he does

  2. FalcoLamborghini

People hate on Steph 90% because of his appearance.

There is no way you could watch Steph during his prime and think he’s not the greatest to ever do it. You could ague Jordan, but that’s it.

He was out-of-body-experience good and he’s still incredible.

  3. purplebrown_updown

WTF? This coming from someone who didn’t win ANY championships.

  4. cholula_is_good

It’s not unreasonable to have Curry outside your top 10 all time. The NBA is been around a while and there have been many great players.

Jordan, LeBron, Kareem, Magic, Bird, Russell, Wilt, Duncan, Kobe, Hakeem, Shaq, West.

It’s pretty subjective to kick three of the above players off the top 10 list to add Curry. Those are all generational players that made a huge impact on the game.

  5. bfolksdiddy

Tmac was playing in China @ 33. Steph is still busy breaking records and winning all nba player selections @ 36. What the fuck would Tmac know about greatness?

  6. Ralphredimix_Da_G

    Ahaha all time great TMac.

All the hate is coming from bums that never got there. Champions respect champions.

  7. Top 10 lists are entirely subjective based on what people value. How do you weigh: historical factors, era game is played, stats, regular season performance, playoff performance, ABA peak years, impact on culture, individual style, peak vs. longevity, etc…

There are so many great players, I wish the public discourse would just be around what the top 10 players of each decade are. In a decade many youngsters may start leaving Bill Russell off their lists, which is too egregious for me to stomache

  8. Donnieivanhoe

This is so stupid. Jordon didn’t win without Scottie. Clowns out here acting like it doesn’t take a whole squad to win.

  9. Emergency_Bird1725

We should not care who TMac has in his top 10. People just trying to earn a living staying relevant.

  10. meowhatissodamnfunny

Guess his boy Kobe ain’t top 10 then. Unfortunate.

  11. AdministrationNo312

I don’t t mac never made it out of the first round

  12. IamChrystalchris

Yet when you did partake in a playoff series once, you didn’t even play at all 🤣. Hating is one helluva drug.

  13. AdComprehensive7879

is it just me or is that sentence hard to comprehend? who’s missing who here hahah? i dont get it.

  14. Bron missed the playoffs in 21-22, a season AD was injured a ton, so guess he can’t be in his top 5 either. How much you want to bet he still is though?

Edit to add: It says *a lot* about the true strength of the appeal of this “new era” of young guys that the league has been trying to usher in when during a week without NBA hoops in between the conference finals and finals, it’s still Steph and the Warriors’, neither of which are even playing or have played in over a month and a half, names that have to be dragged into made up hypotheticals in order to garner engagement. Not any of the new younger “stars” that played in these playoffs, not the Mavs or the Celtics who are about to play in the Finals, but Steph and the Warriors. Just sayin…

  15. QuirkyScorpio29

MJ once finished below .500 in his early career but no one holds that against him.

Kobe missed the playoffs later in his career.

Curry missed the playoffs in 2021 but we were the 8 seed that year and in the old format we’d have made the playoffs behind Curry’s 2nd scoring title.

    GTFOH with the bullshit.

  16. r4ytracer

he already silenced everyone in 2022. people just found time to talk about him again. can’t imagine how loud people will be after steph retires.

  17. hidey_ho_nedflanders

I honestly have no idea what T-Mac is saying here

  18. PhillipMcKrak

I don’t think it’s a big deal if he’s not ranked top 10 for some people because he’s probably ranked top 15 in that case. Which is still valid in some arguments.

  19. A lot of these old nba guys are just salty that Steph has 4 rings and they have 0. So they gotta talk trash to stay relevant 😂

  20. Status_Associate8902

Respect to Tmac game in his era, but he has no fucking legacy compared to SC30. This just sounds like whining from an envious oldhead.

  21. kaptainj72

If we did the HOF like football, t-Mac MIGHT get in after 10 years of attempts. Steph goes First ballot.
Coolest thing tmac ever did was 13 points in 30 seconds
Steph went to 6 finals, won 4, and revolutionized basketball. I could keep going
    Fuck T macs hating ass

  22. I personally have never watched an athlete play ball that was more captivating than Steph. Even at Davidson it felt like must watch TV. Very happy he ended up on our squad. If I missed a game during his tenure I felt like I was cheating on basketball lol. Fuck all the haters Curry’s all time and we’ll probably never see a dude like him again. Ever.

  23. Yao Ming took the Rockets farther without TMac than the other way around

  24. OkAnything4877

Not even sure wtf he’s even saying here. Regardless, any shit talk about rings or all-time lists is hilarious coming from a guy like T-Mac. He doesn’t have Steph in his top 10, but you can be damn sure he has himself there. What a clown.

  25. I loved Tmac growing up but this is a horrible take from him lmao.

  26. constant_avocado53

We do this with Steph like every couple of years and it’s so tired. How often are people rearranging where KD or Luka are on this scale? Idek why I thought 2022 would end this Steph appreciate/disrespect cycle cause clearly people have the inability to just let his career play out.

  27. Psychological_Bet_49

Says a nigga with no finals appearances 🗣️

  28. Yeah I agree. The weirdest people have so much to say on things that they have no experience with.

  29. Creepy-Present-2562

I hope everyone hares on him so the last dance will be special

  30. hallonemikec

This is coming from the same Tracy McGrady that played in the NBA right?

  31. smoothdaddyG7

This is coming from a dude who couldn’t lead a team out the 1st round 🤣. The amount of hate and the higher standards they hold Steph to while giving everyone else a pass is proof of how jealous these former players are of Steph, and how great THEY KNOW he is.

  32. The team construction would have been completely different. You wouldn’t build around Kyrie the same way you build around Steph. And no, Kyrie Dray Klay isn’t 4 ring type of good, but prime KD Kyrie Dray Klay might still get some rings.

  33. frootluipdungis

The combined IQ of TMac and Gilbert Arenas doesn’t hit triple digits. Don’t worry about them lol

  34. GodlikeJCMS

Yeesh that’s the second post I’ve seen where a Vet trashed on Curry. Arenas and TMac huh, seems to me there’s a pattern of ringless and envy vets who also tried to make it big in the CBA
