I thought when he came out he was gonna be an all nba guy, not superstar but somewhere in that 11-16 ish range at his peak. He didn’t become that, but when healthy he’s a really good player

Both teams officially fully healthy to begin the series (in terms of having players available)

I can’t put into words how instrumental just a 75% Porzingis is to this team at the moment

  4. If he isn’t still hurt, this series should be a procession.

I’m 95% sure that he could’ve been ready for the latter half of the pacers if they decided the eastern conference wasn’t #sorry

I don’t think the Celtics needed him to win the title but he’s a good big and will make this finals an even easier win for the Celtics

Felt like this was obvious when he missed G4 in the ECF. He was healthy enough to play if he had to but they clearly wanted to give him as much rest as possible

Brad Stevens chuckles as he inserts the Tingus Pingus stone back into the Infinity Gauntlet

I think having the 7’3” guy who averages 20/8, is one of the best in the league at punishing post mismatches, can stretch the floor to nearly 30 feet, and is our best rim protector/best screener in PnR may help us in this series tbh

Porzingis is a difference maker cos they can legit play 5-out with him.

Gafford/Lively need to make sure they don’t become unplayable if the Mavs want to have a chance.

If he’s anywhere close to a reliable starter, I really like our chances

  12. Personally, I think they should be extra safe and rest him this series too.

This is gonna be interesting. When fully healthy he can be a game changer for the Celtics, but coming back from an injury right into the NBA finals is not the easiest thing in the world. There’s no time to find his rhythm, he’s gonna be expected to contribute instantly.

I still think the Celtics are winning regardless of Porzingis performance, but it’s pretty difficult to go from not playing for a month straight into the biggest game of your life.
