Celtics lose: ā€œTrashā€ ā€œPlayed in a shit conference, would lose in the first round in the westā€ ā€œTatum sucksā€

Celtics win: ā€œLuka has no help and was injuredā€ ā€œCeltics are a superteam, it wasnā€™t fairā€ ā€œCeltics had an easy path to the finals, while the Mavs had a gauntlet and got tired outā€

Another case of, when the narrative fits:

26 year old Jayson Tatum is on par with 2x MVP 26 year old Lebron James.

    Otherwise:

Jayson Tatum not even top 5…

I also donā€™t understand saying ā€œstacked teamā€ as some sort of insult. Isnā€™t that the whole point to have the best team?šŸ¤Ø

  4. solarscopez

Yeah no these are the same bozos that will happily say that Tatum isn’t a top 5 player just to discredit him

  5. Kid_Crayola

wait now Tatum is prime lebron?? šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

People also forget how insane that Dallas team was, and their record was deflated by the games dirk didn’t play. Tons of savvy vets, with 29 combined all-star appearances.

Did the heat choke? Yes. But Dallas went 12-3 heading into the finals, including sweeping the defending champs. They definitely weren’t slouches.

If this means Tatum is gonna get 4 more rings after this, then Iā€™m down lol.

  8. Ringless European superstar vs a Ringless American superstar who’s team went to a new level after trading for a big man.

    Sound’s like 06 to me.

  9. ZarduHasselffrau

From top tier version of Tobias Harris to prime LeBron.

And people said winning a ring doesn’t change a player’s position in the NBA’s top players list. Tatum just went from Top… whatever to #1 without even winning one.

  10. CynicalMindTrip

They’re embarassing themselves. And with no shame.

  11. BuddhistInTheory

This comparison is an insult to the heartbreak Dirk had to endure to win his ring. A better comparison would be when LeBron went up against a well built team in the 2007 Finals (Spurs) and got swept.

  12. dankchinaski

there are people who make a living out of creating basketball content and they have had a lot of days to fill with *something*.

  13. oldmilt21

This yearā€™s finals feature an eastern conference team that won their conference finals playing against a team from the west that won theirs.

    Weā€™ve seen this movie before.

  14. chrontonic

Schrodinger’s Tatum. Either he’s overrated and not top 5, barely top 10. Or he’s prime LeBron. Just depends what narrative you’re currently running with

  15. hurricanecj

Stacked 2011 Heat legit had 3 NBA players. Rookie Mario Chalmers was probably the 4th best player on the team. Well him or Haslem. Bos has postings, Jrue, and Horford as 4, 5 and 6. That’s not the same “stacked” at all

  16. HoorayPizzaDay

Why would you share garbage you found on Facebook

  17. Check out what I can do:

Team unexpectedly gels late in the season after key trade deadline shuffling and makes an NBA Finals run through a tough conference. Then meets a more experienced opponent in the Finals. Weā€™ve seen this movie before.

Iā€™ve blocked this page recently. Just constant anti-Celtic posts.

  19. daft_dunkwwwolfey

That basketball forever account has been talking crazy lately with their narrative driving lmaoo

  20. Full-Flight-5211

Im not surprised by any narrative anymore. I am surprised at how much people care about all the bs we see about the Celtics and how much it annoys them.

  21. I get it 99% of the NBA world, you want us to lose, I get it, You don’t have to go that far to prove it šŸ˜‚

  22. crocology

Boston fans would rather cry about the media than rejoice in the fact they could win a ring, such a doggy fanbase, the team deserves better
