  1. I think he should have stayed out of the draft another year but I guess he’s going to capitalize on the weak class around him, I just don’t want it to be the spurs rolling the dice on him. Might be good, might be not good.

    It’s amazing to me that we’ve got people on this sub breathing a sigh of relief at the Topic news because it makes it less likely he’ll be a Spur who will turn around and endorse drafting this kid. Hyperfocusing on the flaws and question marks of the most obviously skilled and advanced player in the class only to fawn over a guy who doesn’t really even know how to play basketball yet because of what he might become if everything breaks right.

    And to be clear, I like Salaun as a prospect to a certain degree. But good grief, have we ever lost the plot in valuing tools over being good at the game to this extent.
