This sounds wayy better than JJ

Wait till the West Coast wakes up to this

  3. r/NBA in shambles, Lakers didn’t hire a meme coach they all hoped they would.

  4. lazzysmalls

He said no to Big Blue Nation but can he say no to Laker Nation

i don’t see the Lakers hiring Hurley unless they offer him a contract & he signs it.

    He’s incredible honestly.

Go and watch some of Uconn”s offensive playsets from this championship run, you will see that he’s a brilliant offensive mind.

Whether he can manage a room full of egos and the biggest superstar in current NBA in LeBron is still to be seen, but on paper this is a much better hire than anyone could have imagined.

Now give him a good assistant staff and he can pop off.

I was told Shams was Klutch therefore would definitely be the one having the right info on this story.

Damn Shams really lied. This is super interesting, bold move for sure to bring out the brink’s truck for a college coach. Big difference between managing 20-year-olds and LeBron James

  9. So it went from JJ to Monty to this dude in less than 1 day

NBA reporters across the board in shambles after weeks of nonsense reporting.

A rare, future-facing move by the Lakers. Probably not a guy they’re going after specifically for AD or LeBron but for the franchise in the long term.

This legit had me in disbelief, thought JJ was a lock and thought Hurley would go the Jim Calhoun route and just cash in but UCONN contracts for as long as he wanted. Also was shocked the Lakers made the smarter hire and not just settling for JJ and he zero coaching experience.
