Bruce Brown Knics Trade INCOMING? – Major Zach Edey Raptors Update | Toronto Raptors News

multiple reports have come out that place the Knicks once again as a Bruce Brown trade destination as a trade Messi Jerry decline at this year’s trade deadline is now essentially back on the table we also have a massive update regarding Zack Edy and his current draft position after just working out with the Toronto Raptors it seems day by day becomes more and more realistic that he becomes a raptor in this year’s NBA draft so lots of stuff to dive into but before we do folks if you guys haven’t hit that subscribe button you’re watching all the daily content regarding the true Auto Raptors Nick spell with a CK my spelling’s always horrible on these chapters but we have an update regarding Bruce Brown as he is clearly the guy that is most likely to be dealt away from the Toronto Raptors this off season and the New York Knicks were essentially the main target the main potential trade destination along with LA Lakers for Bruce Brown leading into the trade deadline obviously Messiah Jerry didn’t end up dealing him away end up held suit saying hey most of the deals that were offered at the trade deadline are probably going to be offered in the off season now a lot of raptors fans were worried that maybe we miss the boat on a decent hul for Bruce Brown given the fact he just wasn’t that great for the Toronto Raptors during the second half of the year but that doesn’t seem to be the case as essentially multiple reports have come out regarding the New York Knicks right now that reveal that this trade is essentially bad back on the table in terms of what the Knicks are looking for so essentially the definitely word around the league is that they’re looking to move those first round picks in regards to those New York Knicks first round picks they own picks 24 as well as 25 in this year’s NBA draft there is no Victor web on this class there’s no Zion Williamson in this class and there’s no Cooper flag or Cam Boozer in uh and upcoming things there’s just a lot of expectation and excitement about at least the the next twoyear draft classes that let alone uh what could be in a 2028 first round pick so essentially Jake fiser has come out and put out a report that the New York Knicks again given the fact that there’s no crazy hype players in this year’s NBA draft the Knicks are definitely looking around the league just move one of the two of those first round picks maybe both right because essentially they have picks 24 and 25 and the Knicks R team have it wasn’t for injuries they definitely would have been in the Conference Finals this year they had the lead even without Julius Randall on the p uh indana Pacers who again I was rooting for it given the fact they had Pascal seak and a few guys on that Squad but injuries depleted that roster that overall is really nice for the New York Knicks they brought no giobi there and win now mode and they are not interested in those first round picks here now at this point and another report regarding the Knicks essentially said that the Knicks are seen as a potential trade partner as head coach Tom tibo is not likely to want multiple first round rookies on his team so essentially the Knicks are are in win now mode they want to deal their picks and their head coach Tom Tibido who we know is stingy with minutes especially for young players that’s his reputation you know over the course of his uh sort of time in the NBA he doesn’t give young players opportunities he is willing to deal away some of these draft picks of the front offices to appease their head coach and the Toronto Raptors are a team that fits the the sort of bills essentially uh this is a report from Michael gra just a couple months ago that the Raptors just as interesting were the moves Toronto didn’t make Bruce Brown the most significant player on the Raptors received in return for sakam was widely expected to be on the move at one point the New York Knicks had offered a first round pick for the versatile wing and it h was a 20 and it was a pick in 2024 on the back end of the first round so clearly one of those picks that the New York Knicks are still shopping that we were worried maybe the Knicks wouldn’t be that interested in making a deal or doing anything along those lines there but essentially that pick that the Toronto Raptors were offered at this year’s trade deadline is being actively shopped still by the New York as things just didn’t really work out with their trade deadline plans the route that they went to because essentially we thought this was all off the table we thought this was a no world this ends up going down because the Knicks kind of filled their Bruce Brown hole at the trade deadline bringing in Boon bonovich as well as Alec Burks but so we said hey maybe they’ll hold on to those picks maybe they’ll do something different with those uh sort of assets but frankly looking how the playoffs played out and how everything closed off of the Season you know from where we were even a month ago those Alec Burks and Bo bonovich picks just didn’t really work out for New York essentially Boon bonovich went from a 20 point per game player to a guy averaging 10 points per game for the New York Knicks yes his minutes did go down but that is a significant reduction decrease and he also was injured for a ton of that sort of Series so that’s a part of it and you know Alec Burks also had a significant decrease just going down from uh 12.2 points uh 12.6 points per game and uh went down to 6.5 points per game so the two guys that were acquired in that Bruce Brown deal especially you know come playoff time were essentially non-factors for that New York next team so Bruce Brown a dude that yes he did struggle with the Toronto Raptors decently but still average 11 points per game four rebounds three assists who could be able to play off with Julius Randall one of these sort of star players that the same way he did with the the Denver Nuggets just a couple seasons ago and ended up winning an NBA championship he is a guy that is definitely going to be on the New York Knicks radar we have previously registered interest in in the fact that they’re still shopping these draft picks that we were worried that they weren’t going to be that interested in sort of putting on the move right this deal is still on the table so the Raptors have an major opportunity to go back call the call the New York Knicks FR an office Co Leon Rose and say let’s let’s just uh get us a first- round pick get an asset back for Bruce Brown rather than letting him walk for nothing and letting a deal go down there because the Knicks also are in a position where they want to get off some of their salary I mean they have a lot of guys they’re having to pay Julius Randle Jaylen Brunson boan bonovich is the piece that I think you know they could just switch I guess that wouldn’t be long-term money but Bruce Brown seems short-term given the injuries that boan is dealing with right he is a guy that probably is more upside in the short term because he’s less injury-prone ogan noi is going to be receiving a significant contract if he’s back with the New York Knicks there’s rumors it might be over $40 million and the Raptors might steal him away but they have Mitchell Robinson they have Josh Hart they have divon chenzo they have so many players on this roster that they have to give to it just makes sense for you know if it’s going to be short-term bread players that can actually play rather than buan bonovich but you know maybe we could also take some longer term money and get some assets on top of uh what’s going on there at this point so interesting stuff Isaiah hardenstein is also a player they’re going to want to bring that back so it’s uh going to be interesting to see what the decisions the New York Knicks make but I think a Bruce Brown for Bood donovic swap along with that first is something that they’d be very very intrigued by but let me know what you guys think about that the next thing we’re taking a look at is a major Zack Ed update for the Toronto Raptors so if you guys didn’t see it didn’t see the most recent video Zack Ed just recently worked out for the Toronto Raptors along with a contingent of Canadian players and there’s a lot of speculation as there has been about the Toronto Raptors drafting Zack Ed in this year’s NBA draft well basically immediately after that uh workout ended up happening with the Toronto Raptors lots of stuff came out regarding Zack Ed you know obviously a few pictures of him getting some shots up in uh you know the Practice Center for the r rap facilities he discussed how he’s going to be trying to play for the Olympics all those types of things which is huge for this team as well because uh we need some depth in the front line and Zack Ed could be dominant out there in international action but right now Zack Ed is projected to go 21st overall in this year’s NBA draft and that’s the most recent latest mock and that is two picks behind where the Toronto Raptors are supposedly going to be selecting or supposedly I guess it is where their draft Pi is currently landed and right now we’re projected to draft EV Missy who we haven’t seen a public report that we’ve actually interviewed him or had him in for a draft workout or anything along those lines but does play a similar position does play a similar role he does have some comparables to a guy like uh I’ve seen Derek Lively you know athletic sort of big that could come in and have an impact I think a lot of raptors fans will be happy with a bit of depth in our front core coming into the roster and seeing how those things come out but obviously Zach Ed being Canadian being one of those pieces average you know ridiculous numbers in college like 25 12 uh he’s the more I want to say attractive name to the Casual torona Raptors fan even some you know die hards you know but his mobility and stuff have some red flags coming that way but I mean I’d be happy with any of these big honestly I’m fall in love with a lot of players in this sort of mid-range of the first round so we’ll dive into all those in the coming
