Porzingis was HUGE for the Celtics! – Bob Myers reacts to Boston’s Gm 1 win vs. Mavs | NBA Countdown

in case there was any doubt that Chris DS porzingis is back well here you go and he had 20 points to boot as the Celtics route the maps 10789 to take game one let’s digest it all with Kendrick Perkins who won an NBA championship with these Boston Celtics Josh Hart Michael wilbon Bob Myers I’m Malik Andrews I want to start with you perk what did you see here from porzingis well well I’ve been preaching all along he’s the most important player in this series he came out and he addressed them like the numbers on the house both sides of the basketball offensively took advantage of the mismatches on the post I thought he did a exceptional job of being aggressive defensively B that defensive impact protecting the basket altering shots rebounding the basketball doing what he do best yeah he got to his spots um shot over little guards took Lively to the whole show is athleticism and that’s what he did and then defensively he guarded non shooter he was able to play kind of free safety and protector am I allowed to mention that Luca donic had one assist one assist in this game as well as he’d been playing that’s a surprising number of the night for me yeah look after the first quarter porzingis was a huge part of that 37 to 20 first quarter after that the game was tight it was like a three four-point game but porzingis was huge great great win for the Celtics winners of game one go on to win the series 70% of the time [Music] [Applause] [Music] NBA ony is coming for

Josh Hart, Kendrick Perkins, Bob Myers, Michael Wilbon and Malika Andrews react to the Boston Celtics’ 107-89 win over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 1 of the 2024 NBA Finals.

  1. Porzingis was killing in Game 1.

Boston's lucky to have found an offensive threat who takes fire & confidence into these big games.

On the flip side, Dallas is gonna have to turn Porzingis into a passer.

  2. No one is commenting on this. Once again no off the ball movements, only two players in action for the Mavs no attacking the basket open spaces no multiple screens. Boston had 3 in motion. This explains Luka 1 assist only

  3. Media and fans did not give Boston defence enough credit when they made their predictions. Well there you go. Defence is also very sustainable. Bad matchup for Dallas. Boston had more Blocks than Dallas had Assists.

  4. Jrue should thank Giannis for opening his mouth to Bucks owners for help … … And it's little Luka vs Porzingis … Now whose team is it?

  5. Congratulations Boston Celtics for winning 2024 NBA Championship. Only idiots would bet on the Mavs. Celtics did not double Luka hence he only has one assist all game. Clippers, Thunder, Wolves are so adamant not to let Luka score but Celtics would rather let him shoot than pass the ball.

  6. I knew Porzingis was going to be a factor tonight but I didn't expect the Mavs to have ABSOLUTELY NO ANSWER for him and the offense! 😂 Mavs better bring that energy next game or else the Celtics might turn this into a quickie! 😂🤣🤣💯 I just dropped a reaction to this game on my channel! Come check it out! Let me know what you think! 🔥🔥🔥

  7. I like the fact they only let Porzingis to play like 20mins……guess they dun want the Porzingis to be put on the spotlight, instead they want Jayson Tatum….so obvious…

  8. Next topic on ESPN, "Dallas gave this game away to Boston! Porzingis got lucky and he will not play like that again!"
ESPN conned you all and made you believe that this Dallas team can beat Boston. Heck, the Pacers are even better than this Dallas team. Pacers blew this Dallas team by an average of 19 points twice this season LOL Nembhard is better than Kyrie

  9. Nobody wants to talk about that Boston Defense, only one lob pass to the hoop, and that’s how Dallas has been controlling games.
