Ron Holland, the No. 2 overall recruit from the 2023 high school class, could slide completely out of the lottery, per @DraftExpress (espn.com/nba/insider/st…). Holland has recently scheduled pre-draft workouts with the Heat (No. 15) and Lakers (No. 17). After an inconsistent season with G League

If he drops, he would be a good long term developmental guy but he won’t help the Heat for 2-3 years. He wouldn’t get time over JJJ, Highsmith ( if still there), Duncan, Martin ( if still there) and even Cain ( also an ultra athletic 6-6 wing that can defend who is a better shooter at this point. ). Holmes II, Ware and lower extent Missi are more likely to come in and provide something right away.

Would be a super high upside play

Very high level athlete with a nice frame and wingspan. Not much polish but the kinda guy you would love to see what the heat development system could do with.

He’s one of my favorite prospects, anywhere from top 7 and someone I see you can be an all-star caliber player. He should not be available when we pick but if he is, run to the podium and get him. Figure out how he fits in your rotation and long term plans later.

We’re never gonna be bad enough to get a top 5 talent in a draft class with how this team operates. His ceiling is higher than JJJ, and Niko imo. And the team needs a high ceiling swings. It’s why I want Collier and Ware (outside of Carter)

Y’all are so desperate that y’all are considering guys who were injured severely or have inconsistent offense things that y’all bitch about all season or will
